What the Bible says about light and seed

The True Light "In him, (the Lord Jesus) was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world,…the world didn’t recognize him." John 1:4,9.

The Good Seed and the Weeds “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seeds in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. Matthew 13:24,25.

Merry Christmas from Muhammad and Devotees

The Prophet Muhammad's legacy of terror has reached out from the past and wished many western Christians another merry Christmas. It's an upward trend.
This was why Gatestone Institute was able to send out an accurate early warning to Europeans for 2016.

So far, Australians may consider themselves as extremely lucky to have been spared Muhammad's wrath. One monumental Christmas attack was foiled. But there have near misses. How long before a planned attack find its target? Why plan attacks on a welcoming multi-cultural nation such as Australia? What's going on here?

For various reasons, the media and authorities are typically reticent to ascribe terror attacks to an organization (or even Islam). When someone shouts Allahu Akbar as he stabs or shoots infidels, they'd rather refer to it as a "lone wolf" incident.

However, Howard Bloom notes that even the lone wolf phenomenon can be attributed to Muhammad's legacy. After a disastrous battle, Muhammad had to ensure that his troops wouldn't leave the battlefield. So, aside from the "spoils of war", he introduced some further incentives. One was the idea that dying for the sake of Islam was a certain ticket to paradise.

And then he added sexual gratification as another incentive: "The Muslim paradise was not like the dull and boring Christian heaven where you sat at the feet of God singing his praises day after day." There would also be "large eyed" and "full breasted maidens" who would remain "eternally young." Well, you get the drift.
Bloom observes that millions of Muslims today model their lives on Muhammad's example during the years of peace:

But others model themselves on the period of the Prophet’s life in which he became addicted to the systematic use of what he called “slaughter” and “terror.”
Muhammad was a genius. His followers down through the centuries have successfully retained these teachings for profit and fun. Whether it's an organization such as ISIS or a "lone wolf" enabled by a radical preacher, the source is the same - Muhammad.

It wasn't too long ago that the world recognized the problem of Islam and wasn't afraid to say so. Jefferson didn't keep a Qur'an in his library for devotional use, as some Islamic devotees like to think. He wanted to understand the dynamics of the Barbary Pirates and how Islam fitted into all this.
Tripoli Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman provided the context for those who paid attention:
...it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise. (See also Thomas Jefferson & the Tripoli Pirates pp 12-15)
Muhammad's Modern Devotees can be found in government authorities and even some church organizations. Islamic radicals disrupted Christmas through violence. Yet European leaders employ a different strategy. They systematically remove public references to Christianity in the interest of "multiculturalism" and for fear that it might offend Muslims. For example:
A German school in Turkey just banned Christmas celebrations: the school, Istanbul Lisesi, funded by the German government, decided that Christmas traditions and carol-singing would no longer be allowed. A Woolworth's store in Germany scrapped Christmas decorations telling customers that the shop "is now Muslim".

Giulio Meotti writes that Christianophobia is the Trojan Horse of Islam. He notes that:
Everywhere in Europe, a weary, secularist absence of purpose and confused values damns Christianity in favor of Islam.

Christmas and Hanukkah are observed at roughly the same time. That may be the reason why Mr. Obama was determined not to leave Israel out the "Christmas celebrations" by abstaining from the UN resolution against Israel. Barack Obama may not be an observing Muslim, but he sure as heck acts like a devotee.

And make no mistake; the UN is fundamentally driven by Islamic sympathies. This is why they're obsessed with Israel's alleged misdemeanors while largely ignoring human rights abuses in places such as Iran, Turkey, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

President Obama's "Christmas surprise" was always expected. He was predictable before he became president. One only had to do their homework. I've used the example of the story of the scorpion and the frog in Aesop's Fable. The scorpion can't help itself - it's in his nature.

Obama is exhibiting all the finesse of an Eighties Rock Star trashing his hotel room before he leaves the premises. He quickly set his people to work against Israel - John Kerry and Samantha Power. There may be more to come before he leaves.

Despite Power's eloquent excuses to abstain from the UN vote, the peace problem has never been about "settlements." This is an overly abused Red Herring. The real issue is that Israel's existence in the region offends Islam.

John Kerry claims Israel can't be a Democratic, Jewish State; that it has to be one or the other. Yet Israel has successfully integrated diversity. People are simply offended at the idea of a Jewish State.

Samantha Power has a history of anti-Israel rhetoric. She once raised the specter of genocide in context to the Israel-Palestinian conflict, and called for radical measures:
It may mean, more crucially, sacrificing, or investing I think more than sacrificing, literally billions of dollars, not in servicing Israel’s military but actually investing in the new state of Palestine; in investing billions of dollars it would probably take also to support I think what will have to be a mammoth a protection force - not of the old Srebrenica kind or of the Rwanda kind, but a meaningful military presence. Because it seems to me at this stage - and this is true of actual genocides as well and not just major human rights abuses which we’re seeing there - that is that you have to go in as if you’re serious, you have to put something on the line. (Emphasis mine)
Aside from the "human rights abuses" canard, are these words befitting an ally? Does it concern Power that Palestinian leaderships abuse their people? Does the UN worry over the abuse of Christians under Islam? Nope - they are possessed by a clamoring anti-Israel spirit.

Israel shouldn't have been taken by surprise by Obama. I've said this before and it bears repeating: it cannot place its trust in any man or group of nations. It will eventually learn this lesson in the hardest of ways.

As for Islam, when will the world understand Aesop's lesson?

This week, I providentially came across the following thoughts by Charles Spurgeon. It seems appropriate to let him speak here:
We anticipate the happy day when every knee will bow before Christ; when the gods of the heathen shall be cast to the moles and the bats; when empty religion will be exploded, and the crescent of Mohammed will topple, never again to cast harmful rays upon the nations; when kings shall worship before the Prince of Peace, and all nations shall call the Redeemer blessed.
Amen! Lord, Come Quickly!

WATCH: The Anti-Migrant Video Going Viral Across Europe

by Oliver Lane11 Nov 2015 Reblogged from breitbart.com

Note from the author of this blog:In a "prophetic" novel published in 1973, Jean Raspail broached the very subject. His book titled "The camp of the Saints" was acclaimed by some intellectuals, French and American while some in the government cried racism, xenophobia.... he was misunderstood, vilified and ostracized. Recently, in the face of the obvious invasion of Europe, he and his book were vindicated in the eyes o the public. The book available at Amazon has a new 2014 edition with a preface from the author. I remember reading the book in 1974 while I was in France. I am rereading the original 1973 kindle version.

UPDATE 13/11/15: After gaining a million and a half views in less than five days, the Open Gates video was taken down by YouTube following a copyright infringement. Although the rights company involved in the claim has been named in allegedly spurious claims in the past, there is no reason to suggest that is the case with this video. This article now links to a video mirror on Dutch website Dumpert.
The original article follows.

‘With Open Gates: The forced collective suicide of European nations’, a slick, hard-hitting film about the European migrant crisis is going viral in Europe, already watched at least half a million times.

Although the 19-minute film may feel like a dispatch from the future, it is cut entirely from recent news reports, police camera footage, and interviews. Kicking off with scenes of a modern car ferry disgorging thousands of illegals into Greece, the film then cuts to dozens of aerial shots of columns of migrants marching north into Europe.

The film then changed to the harrowing testimony of one young Greek woman who was unable to hide her horror and despair at the scale of the migrant crisis sweeping over her home island of Lesbos. Just six miles from the Turkish coast, the island was subjected to migrant riots in September as newcomers turned on their hosts for not moving them to mainland Europe fast enough.

Drone footage used in the film / YouTube
As Breitbart London reported at the time, the tearful woman tells a news crew: “We are in danger, every day, every minute. We need someone to protect us. They come into our houses. I want to go to work, but I can’t. Our children want to go to school, but they can’t. They have stolen our lives!”.

Also featured is American presidential hopeful Donald Trump, who gives his opinion on the migrant crisis: “I’ve been watching this migration, and I’ve seen the people.
“I mean, these are men. They are mostly men, and they are strong men… they look like prime time solders. Look, Europe is going to have to handle, but they are going to have riots in Germany.

“I always thought Merkel was a great leader, but what she’s done in Germany is insane”.
The video is being rapidly shared on social media and online message boards and has been viewed at least half a million times, having been uploaded to platforms including YouTube and Facebook among others dozens of times.

Although the main thrust of the film is to goad native Europeans against mass migration and the negative effects of multiculturalism, the film also paradoxically takes a swipe at one European minority group who stand to lose almost the most from mass Muslim immigration. It also includes a short clip of discredited, anti-Semitic politician Nick Griffin, former Member of the European Parliament and leader of the British National Party.
The inclusion of Mr. Griffin, an unpopular figure even in Britain’s nationalist right and the rapid success of the film in the Netherlands suggests the film may not have been edited by a British citizen.

Breitbart London has reported at length on the rising tide of anti-Semitism in Europe which has arrived with mass migration. From Jews being specifically targeted for degrading house-invasion rape-thefts to Jews being excluded from Holocaust commemorations because of Muslim attendees hijacking events, migrant-Europe is now hostile towards Jews at a level not seen in decades.

Below the video on YouTube, uploaded on Monday by anonymous user Death of Nations, the editor warns: “This video will not be online long, download and mirror it while you can”.
“At current immigration levels and disappearing birth rates native Europeans are destined to become a minority in their own countries within decades. This is already the case for many of Europe’s largest cities.”

“Millions of young Muslim men leave behind their family, pay thousands to criminal traffickers to reach the land they have been promised by European politicians illegally.
Dubbed by the media as “refugees”, they cross through 6-10 safe countries to reach wealthy nations like Germany or Sweden where they hope to receive a better life at the expense of the taxpayer.

Only a fraction of them are Syrian, as they enter unfiltered, without any documents and without any legitimate right to claim asylum. Women and children are rarely seen, except in the cherry-picked sob stories of the media”.

At the end of the lengthy call to arms, the writer concludes:
“We are still at a point where you will not get imprisoned for your political opinion in most European countries, but this will change very soon. Do not be apathetic, do not be weak. Be someone that can be proud to call himself European”.

The Land Without Muslims

The Japanese do not feel the need to apologize to Muslims for the negative way in which they relate to Islam.

Japanese Muslim
There are countries in the world, mainly in Europe, that are presently undergoing significant cultural transformations as a result of Muslim immigration. France, Germany, Belgium and Holland are interesting examples of cases where immigration from Muslim countries, together with the Muslims’ high fertility rate, effects every area of life.

It is interesting to know that there is a country in the world whose official and public approach to the Muslim matter is totally different. This country is Japan. This country keeps a very low profile on all levels regarding the Muslim matter: On the diplomatic level, senior political figures from Islamic countries almost never visit Japan, and Japanese leaders rarely visit Muslim countries. The relations with Muslim countries are based on concerns such as oil and gas, which Japan imports from some Muslim countries. The official policy of Japan is not to give citizenship to Muslims who come to Japan, and even permits for permanent residency are given sparingly to Muslims.

Japan forbids exhorting people to adopt the religion of Islam (Dawah), and any Muslim who actively encourages conversion to Islam is seen as proselytizing to a foreign and undesirable culture. Few academic institutions teach the Arabic language. It is very difficult to import books of the Qur’an to Japan, and Muslims who come to Japan, are usually employees of foreign companies. In Japan there are very few mosques. The official policy of the Japanese authorities is to make every effort not to allow entry to Muslims, even if they are physicians, engineers and managers sent by foreign companies that are active in the region. Japanese society expects Muslim men to pray at home.

Japanese companies seeking foreign workers specifically note that they are not interested in Muslim workers. And any Muslim who does manage to enter Japan will find it very difficult  to rent an apartment. Anywhere a Muslim lives, the neighbors become uneasy. Japan forbids the establishment of Islamic organizations, so setting up Islamic institutions such as mosques and schools is almost impossible. In Tokyo there is only one imam.

In contrast with what is happening in Europe, very few Japanese are drawn to Islam. If a Japanese woman marries a Muslim, she will be considered an outcast by her social and familial environment. There is no application of Shari’a law in Japan. There is some food in Japan that is halal, kosher according to Islamic law, but it is not easy to find it in the supermarket.

The Japanese approach to Muslims is also evidenced by the numbers: in Japan there are 127 million residents, but only ten thousand Muslims, less than one hundredth of a percent. The number of Japanese who have converted is thought to be few. In Japan there are a few tens of thousands of foreign workers who are Muslim, mainly from Pakistan, who have managed to enter Japan as workers with construction companies. However, because of the negative attitude towards Islam they keep a low profile.

There are several reasons for this situation

First, the Japanese tend to lump all Muslims together as fundamentalists who are unwilling to give up their traditional point of view and adopt modern ways of thinking and behavior. In Japan, Islam is perceived as a strange religion, that any intelligent person should avoid.

Second, most Japanese have no religion, but behaviors connected with the Shinto religion along with elements of Buddhism are integrated into national customs . In Japan, religion is connected to the nationalist concept, and prejudices exist towards foreigners whether they are Chinese, Korean, Malaysian or Indonesian, and Westerners don’t escape this phenomenon either. There are those who call this a “developed sense of nationalism” and there are those who call this “racism”. It seems that neither of these is wrong.

And Third, the Japanese dismiss the concept of monotheism and faith in an abstract god,  because their world concept is apparently connected to the material, not to faith and emotions. It seems that they group Judaism together with Islam. Christianity exists in Japan and is not regarded negatively, apparently because the image of Jesus perceived in Japan is like the images of Buddha and Shinto.

The most interesting thing in Japan’s approach to Islam is the fact that the Japanese do not feel the need to apologize to Muslims for the negative way in which they relate to Islam. They make a clear distinction between their economic interest in resources of oil and gas from Muslim countries, which behooves Japan to maintain good relations with these countries on the one hand, and on the other hand, the Japanese nationalist viewpoints, which see Islam as something that is suitable for others, not for Japan, and therefore the Muslims must remain outside.

Because the Japanese have a gentle temperament, and project serenity and tranquility toward foreigners, foreigners tend to relate to the Japanese with politeness and respect. A Japanese diplomat would never raise his voice or speak rudely in the presence of foreigners, therefore foreigners relate to the Japanese with respect, despite their racism and discrimination against Muslims in the matter of immigration. A Japanese official who is presented with an embarrassing question regarding the way the Japanese relate to Muslims, will usually refrain from answering, because he knows that a truthful answer would arouse anger, and he is both unable and unwilling to give an answer that is not true. He will smile but not answer, and if pressed, he will ask for time so that his superiors can answer, while he knows that this answer will never come.

Japan manages to remain a country almost without a Muslim presence because Japan’s negative attitude toward Islam and Muslims pervades every level of the population, from the man in the street to organizations and companies to senior officialdom. In Japan, contrary to the situation in other countries, there are no “human rights” organizations to offer support to Muslims’ claims against the government’s position. In Japan no one illegally smuggles Muslims into the country to earn a few yen, and almost no one gives them the legal support they would  need in order to get permits for temporary or permanent residency or citizenship.

Another thing that helps the Japanese keep Muslim immigration to their shores to a minimum is the Japanese attitude toward the employee and employment. Migrant workers are perceived negatively in Japan, because they take the place of Japanese workers. A Japanese employer feels obligated to employ Japanese workers even if it costs much more than it would to employ foreign workers. The traditional connection between an employee and employer in Japan is much stronger than in the West, and the employer and employee feel a mutual commitment to each other: an employer feels obligated to give his employee a livelihood, and the employee feels obligated to give the employer the fruit of his labor. This situation does not encourage the acceptance of foreign workers, whose commitment to the employers is low.

The fact that the public and the officials are united in their attitude against Muslim immigration has created a sort of iron wall around Japan that Muslims lack both the permission and the capability to overcome. This iron wall silences the world’s criticism of Japan in this matter, because the world understands that there is no point in criticizing the Japanese, since criticism will not convince them to open the gates of Japan to Muslim immigration.

Japan is teaching the whole world an interesting lesson: there is a direct correlation between national heritage and permission to immigrate: a people that has a solid and clear national heritage and identity will not allow the unemployed of the world to enter its country; and a people whose cultural heritage and national identity is weak and fragile, has no defense mechanisms to prevent a foreign culture from penetrating into its country and its land.

Wycliffe review panel misfires on Allah as a name of God

Reblogged from - Bill Wilson - www.dailyjot.com
From January through March 2012, Bible translators Wycliffe, SIL International, and Frontiers were embroiled in a controversy where some translators were interchanging the familial names of God with the local names for god. In particular, using Allah for God (YHVH), Allah's Messiah for Jesus (Yeshua Ha Mashiach), and Allah's Holy Spirit for the Holy Spirit (Rauch Ha Kodesh). To attempt to correct the problem of misuse and mistranslation of the familial names of God, and quite frankly, to get itself out of a tremendous reputation-threatening public relations problem, Wycliffe appointed an independent review panel to study the issues and make recommendations. The recommendations are made, but not much is changed.
Wycliffe asked the World Evangelical Alliance to conduct a review and make recommendations. The 33 page review was finalized April 26 with six recommendations. Recommendation 2 addresses the Allah question: "The Panel recognizes that there is significant potential for misunderstanding of the words for "father" and "son" when applied to God, and that in languages shaped by Islamic cultures, the potential is especially acute and the misunderstandings likely to prove especially harmful to the reader's comprehension of the gospel.
"Therefore, in case of difficulties, the Panel recommends that translators consider the addition of qualifying words and/or phrases (explanatory adjectives, relative clauses, prepositional phrases, or similar modifiers) to the directly-translated words for "father" and "son," in order to avoid misunderstanding. For example, as the biblical context allows, the word for "father" might be rendered with the equivalent of "heavenly Father" when referring to God, and the word for "son" might be rendered with the equivalent of "divine Son," "eternal Son," or "heavenly Son" when referring to Jesus. The Panel also encourages translators to use paratextual material to clarify and avoid misunderstanding in these cases."
The use of "paratextual" material to clarify and avoid misunderstanding is a great solution if it is applied properly. Notwithstanding, there is no god other than YHVH God and his name is not Allah. The Koran specifically states with emphatic clarity that Allah has no son in particular reference to Jesus. In Islamic eschatology, the Islamic Jesus (Isa) is the prophet of the Islamic Messiah--the Mahdi--who rules the earth with the peace of Islam for seven years. The Islamic Jesus returns, pledges allegiance to the Mahdi and Allah, then forces Christians and Jews to accept Islam or die. There is absolutely no familial connection between Allah and Jesus. Check the Koran if you have doubts.
On February 3, 2012, The Daily Jot reported: "2 Peter 2:1 says, "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction." Multiple independent sources confirm that Wycliffe leadership believes it knows best about how to translate the Bible and how to treat the Muslim issue regarding the Holy Scriptures. Even some missionaries are convinced that using Allah for YHVH is the right thing to do. There has been a tremendous compromise of the Word of God."
How Wycliffe implements the panel's recommendations will determine if the word of God will be further compromised.
