By Robert Jackson Harrison
As I look all the way back,
I can see You, now, Lord;
You were running through my dreams,
And so much more.
Your fingerprints, when as a child
I was covered by Your love,
All the way back, you were drawing me
To look to You above.
Carrying and molding me,
A shapeless lump of clay,
Guiding my steps to become
The man of faith I am today.
Oh, the grace that carried me -
The mercy that protected me,
All the way back, running to the One
Who would set me free.
When I need strength, now,
Or courage to get through the day,
I look back to those years gone by;
When You loved me all the way.
