What the Bible says about light and seed

The True Light "In him, (the Lord Jesus) was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world,…the world didn’t recognize him." John 1:4,9.

The Good Seed and the Weeds “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seeds in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. Matthew 13:24,25.

Emmanuel Macron :: By Matt Ward

Emmanuel Macron is a remarkable man. Beyond this simple statement, there is little else we can know for sure about him. This is because a complete enigma has won the French presidency and is now taking Europe by storm. Macron is such a new, unknown entity that until very recently there was not even a visible record of his political commitments.

A little over a year ago, running for office was just a dream for Macron, yet now he sits enthroned in the Elysian Palace as king over all he surveys and the sheer speed of the process has left France, and the rest of Europe—rather dizzied by it. He has come from nowhere.

One year ago, Emmanuel Macron’s political party, “La Republique En Marche” did not even exist. Now, after recent Parliamentary elections, it holds an unbelievable 449 of the 577 districts available. Macron’s fledgling political party are going to dominate the more powerful French Lower House, the National Assembly. So knew and fresh faced are many of these 449 En Marche representatives that they are actually going to need training on how to do their jobs.

Macron’s rise has been nothing short of meteoric. It is in fact unprecedented. He is the youngest President France has ever had and not since 1958 and Charles de Gaulle has a French President ever won such a powerful majority.

More than any French president of recent times, Emmanuel Macron can rely on the personal loyalty of each and every one of his Parliamentary representatives, as they all uniquely owe their new found positions of power and influence to Macron personally. Their loyalty is not to the party, but to the man who created the party to fulfil his presidential ambitions.

Hugely powerful domestically, Macron has also become highly influential on a wider European level and is now arguably the most important political leader in Europe today, aside from Angela Merkel. Macron is the total antithesis of the Brexit mentality that has so powerfully swept Europe recently. Emmanuel Macron is the darling of globalism, he is its very embodiment.

A sizeable majority of the French electorate love him too, as do many in Europe. Many, in light of his dramatic electoral victories, have declared Macron to be nothing less than “the new Louis XIV.” [1]

Some, again in reference to Louis XIV’s nickname, have even gone so far as to refer to him as the “Sun King” reborn.  In open reference to this, Macrons own nickname in France now is “Jupiter.” This is a reference to the Roman god of the sky and thunder, and interestingly, the king of all the gods in ancient roman religions. Macron seems to adore the attention, even (jestingly?) allowing people to draw attention to the origin of his own name “Emmanuel,” which of course means in Hebrew “God is with us.”

This powerful self-belief and utter conviction in his own purpose is demonstrated in Macrons first official state portrait as head of state. In this first presidential portrait, Macron can be seen pictured in his office in the Élysée Palace, perched on his desk in front of an open window, framed on either side by two flags. One is the mandatory French Tricolour and the other the EU flag. Both share equal status, both share equal importance. The message is clear. Macron is a pro-EU politician who is a globalist to the core.

On the desk behind Macron are three books, one laying open. The first is André Gide’s The Fruits of the Earth, published in 1897. The second is a book of Charles De Gaulle’s memoirs, a powerful account of the French leaders World War II exploits, a man who truly did lead France into a “new era.”

The final book is Stendhal’s The Red and the Black, a 19th-century novel that deals with an ambitious but provincial young man during a time of great political tension. In the book, this political tension and the young male protagonist, ultimately are witness to a revolution in the country in the 1830’s. [2]

Even more telling, yet subtle, is the presence on the desk of one other item lying next to the books. It is a clock. This has high symbolism for Macron as it reflects his previously spoken desire for him to become the “Master of Clock.” Macron has expressed a clear desire to change the rules of the game; he intends to set his own agenda, his own schedule and even his own times for doing things, especially against convention and traditional wisdom.

This boundary breaking attitude has been very much evident in his personal life from the beginning. Meeting his future wife as a school child of 15 years of age, he determined then that he was going to marry his drama teacher, Brigitte Trogneux.

Despite bucking the convention of the time, despite her initial rejection of him, despite the fact that she was already a married mother, and despite the very best efforts of his family to prevent the union, Macron did as he pleased and began an affair with Trogneux as a teenage boy nevertheless.

Even his parents exiling him to Paris as a seventeen year old, desperate to put an end to the affair, could not stop him. Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Trogneux married in 2007.

It is exactly that attitude that has concerned many. Macron’s consistently scornful approach to the normal rules and boundaries of life has led leading European psychiatrist Adriano Sagatori, who has studied Macron extensively, to declare him as a potential psychopath. Sagatori states, “Like all psychopaths, he believes in his higher purpose. Macron does not love France and will not fight for the French people.” [3]

Sagatori continued, “Macron loves only himself…” The leading European psychiatrist and psychotherapist continues by explaining why he now believes Macron to be something other than merely another outwardly charismatic politician, and believes it is all linked back to his childhood experiences with his former teacher, Brigitte Trogneux. Sagatori has further stated:

Young Emmanuel Macron experienced at age 15 a serious sexual aggression via his teacher, Brigitte, who at the time was 39… the development of Emmanuel Macron was blocked prematurely in his adolescence because of an act of seduction that was both psychic and physical. What happened was that both a taboo and a limit were transgressed, the very limit that the taboo sets.

So the first transgression was the conviction that anything is permissible. Once the limits of the taboo were transgressed, the idea of omnipotence common to all children was then encouraged. Until he went beyond a proper grasp of reality, and strengthened by his intellectual gifts, he extrapolated his personal limitations.

The paradox is that he appears normal, but we have a case of full-blown narcissism. Since his youth Macron has nurtured an ambition that is beyond normal. He needs the attention and admiration of others to compensate for his inferiority complex.  [4]

Sagatori concludes, ominously, by summing up who he believes Macron really is clinically, in view of his psycho-social profile: “So we are confronted with three paradigms that define a certain type of personality; 1) the idea that there exist no limits; 2) a feeling of omnipotence from childhood, but even more so in adulthood; 3) a narcissism that can accurately be defined as malevolent.”

One could easily conclude that this is perhaps just the opinion of a single mental health professional, and that it therefore really means nothing. However, this impression of Macron is one that seems to be echoed by other people, especially those close to him. It seems to be echoed by those who have worked with Macron, observed Macron up close and personal, and who have even been friends with him.

The Financial Times, quoting a source who has known Macron well for years, detailed how, “…he seduces everyone. And then he kills.” [5]

This friend describes how the new French president is a “grand séducteur,” a man who uses his prodigious gifts to get whatever he wants. Macron, he explains, is a polymath, a person who is able to acquire significant expertise in a variety of different subjects to quickly become an expert in them, and that he uses this ability to ingratiate himself with others. Many around Macron firmly believe that he is a genius.

His meteoric rise to power reflects this. After concluding his university education by writing a Master’s thesis, on Machiavelli of all people, the father of modern political science who is known most widely for his infamous seminal work of political scheming and manipulation, the prince, Macron went into the world of banking.

In banking, Macron then became very rich, very quickly. His understanding of economics by this point had become so developed and sophisticated that he was subsequently named as a government economics minister. And from there to president of the French Republic.

Macron, so the FT source says, is always charming, especially with enemies and those hostile to him. During the election, for example, Macron took particular pleasure in always trying to meet his opponents, even the most hostile, face to face. He did this, so the source says, because he was and is so confident of his own charm, and in his ability to “win people over.”

A famous example of this is when he travelled to meet an entire factory of men and women who were ardent supporters of his opponent, Marine Le Pen. By the end of the forum, though not all were won over to vote for him, almost all accepted that they actually liked him and could see themselves perhaps voting for him in the future.

He is also renowned for his relentless energy, being the only person in the room, for example, to retain his good humour at 5 a.m. when a sequence of all-night economics negotiations drew to a close during his time as economics minister.

Yet, all is potentially not quite as it seems. If one looks closely, there are clear undertones of something more sinister lurking just under the surface with Macron. There seems to be a distinct chill behind Macron’s “charm.” He is clearly politically ruthless and deeply cunning, as all politicians are, but Macron seems to be particularly adept.

President Francois Hollande made Macron a government minister, until Macron abandoned Hollande and ultimately took his job. French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, pulls no punches at all regarding Macron.  After realizing that the new president had abandoned him, Prime Minister Valls said, “Hollande is mean, but within a framework…Macron is mean, but he has no codes and therefore no limits.” [6]

Macron’s leadership style is beginning to emerge, and it is ruthless.

Having purged three well-established and senior ministers in the first few days of his administration, Macron has wasted no time in also lecturing, and greatly offending eastern and central European leaders on what he perceives as their collective failure to accept adequate amounts of refugees from the Middle East into their nations.

Viktor Orban, Hungary’s prime minister, called the president a “new boy” in European politics and urged him not “to aim a kick at central European nations” in response.

So at this point, what do we really know about Emmanuel Macron? Not very much is the concise answer. He is an almost complete unknown—as is therefore, the direction he will lead France and possibly Europe in the future. He is an enigma.

As this article nears its conclusion, I should perhaps be honest about why I am writing this piece on Emmanuel Macron; specifically about whether or not I am suggesting or hinting that Emmanuel Macron is the biblically prophesied Antichrist.

I am not, because quite frankly, I have absolutely no idea who that man will be. I believe that the Bible clearly teaches that we Christians, the bride of Christ, will be raptured to heaven before the man of sin will be firmly identified by signing the covenant with Israel. I do not think any person alive today can say with any degree of reasonable certainty that any man is the Antichrist.

However, what I do know is this: We are definitely in the general season of the Lord’s return, and have been for quite some time. As Jesus taught in the gospels, the prophetic birth pangs that are so evident all around us right now, in so many different prophetic spheres, are becoming more pronounced and stronger with each passing day. This is the season of the Lords return.

It would make sense to me, as we approach the end, for all the prophetic pieces to begin falling into their biblically ordained end-time places and this is exactly what we are witness to in all other areas of biblical end-time prophecy.

Would it not also, therefore, make sense for the biblical man of sin, if these are in fact the last days of the end times, to also be positioned prominently in preparation for the end? Satan does not know “the day or the hour,” but he does know the “times and the seasons,” just as we do.

Right now, as the time of the end approaches, in Europe a very powerful, dynamic, charismatic and many say genius of a man—has risen to power. He has come from nowhere and has revolutionised French politics. He is a boundary breaker in every sense of the word, immensely powerful and influential. And he is going to have a significant long term impact not just on French politics, but on European and world wide politics over the next few years.

The question is whether Emmanuel Macron’s conquest is now complete? As to if Emmanuel Macron is the Antichrist? I have no idea, but he certainly is a remarkable man.

Hiding in Plain Sight and/or Paving the Way?

Emmanuel Macron ? Pope Francis ?Emmanuel Macron Pope Francis

It’s true that the Antichrist won’t be revealed until after the rapture; however, no student of Bible prophecy can deny that the rapture and the Tribulation are at the door. Therefore, one must logically assume that he is at this moment hiding in plain sight. Yes, the brethren are to watch for Christ’s appearing to take us Home before that wicked one is revealed. But when one is looking up, one must also be aware of what is going on around them. As for the False Prophet, surely this man with “horns like a lamb but who speaks like a dragon” is hiding in plain sight as well.

How are the left-behind going to know what to look for unless we give them some ideas based on what the Bible says? Aren’t we to be watchmen on the wall to warn people of the dangers? I fully intend to let those who may be left behind know who is paving the way for the prophesied one-world government and one-world religion that will ultimately be headed up by the Antichrist and the False Prophet, whomever they turn out to be. Before discussing two leaders who are playing a big part in the globalist agenda, we’ll see what the Bible says about the demonic duo that will be guided by Satan in the Tribulation.

The Antichrist will rise suddenly from obscurity: “A little horn” (Daniel 7:8; 8:9).

Daniel 8:23 tells us how the Antichrist will rise to world power. “When the transgressors have run their course, a king will arise, insolent and skilled in intrigue.” (Insolent: “showing a rude and arrogant lack of respect.”)

“He shall deal with the strongest fortresses with the help of a foreign god. Those who acknowledge him he shall load with honor. He shall make them rulers over many and shall divide the land for a price” (Daniel 11:39).

He will rule a ten-nation confederacy: “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy” (Revelation 13:1).

You can read about “The Prophecy of The Ten-Nation Confederacy” here. It also describes the apostate one-world church that is supported by the one-world political government.

At first, the Antichrist will appear to be a man of peace by “confirming a covenant with many” (Daniel 9:27). But midway through the seven-year-tribulation, the Antichrist will desecrate the rebuilt temple, proclaim himself to be God, and use his army to conquer; he will go after the Jews and also those who turn to Christ during the Tribulation and refuse his mark of worship (Tribulation saints). “And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations” (Revelation 13:7).

 Paver Number One

Emmanuel Macron was born to non-religious, liberal parents but decided to become a Catholic at the age of 12. He received a Jesuit education until his last year of high school. He worked as an Inspector of Finances in the French Ministry of Economy after graduating from an elite college in 2004. His mentor, Jean-Pierre Jouyet, gave Macron an accelerated course of training.

Macron was also groomed by the Rothschilds and even attended a Bilderberg Summit in 2014. He worked as a Rothschild investment banker (where he became a millionaire) and later as a Socialist party government minister.

Many news reports speak of his meteoric rise from obscurity. He is France’s youngest head of state since Napoleon and the youngest president in France’s history. He’s been described as charismatic, a flatterer, intriguing, and arrogant. He is respected by European elite leaders, so much so that he appears to be the de facto leader of the European Union. He was even called Europe’s Savior.

He won the French presidency by 66.06% and assumed office on May 14, 2017 (Israel’s 69th anniversary as a reborn nation). At that time, he also became co-prince of Andorra, a small principality located between France and Spain He is in the news this week for significant reasons. In June, he intends to form a “ten-nation coalition of the willing” and visit with the pope at the Vatican. This ten-nation coalition is “designed to prepare European armed forces to take action together in emergencies, and to bind Britain into military cooperation as it leaves the EU.”

The idea of a ten-nation coalition was in the planning stages before Macron became France’s president.

From “Ten EU Nations and a New ‘Super-President’” dated April 23, 2012:

Last week a meeting attended by representatives of 10 European nations convened…in Brussels to consider creating a powerful new presidential post to lead the greatest trading bloc in the world, the European Union. EUobserver.com reported that “Ideas kicking around in a reflection group of select EU foreign ministers include merging the roles of the EU Council and European Commission presidents. A senior EU source told this website following a meeting of the club in the Val Duchesse stately home in Brussels on Thursday (April 19) that the new supremo would have more power than either Herman Van Rompuy or Jose Manuel Barroso do today…

In fact, that leader will rather be drawn to that all-powerful office by flatteries (Daniel 11:21). The questions that remain are: which political personality has the charisma, the general political appeal, and perhaps the dynastic profile to be drawn into that office by flatteries?source

From “10 countries for a United States of Europe” dated June 20, 2012:

“Ten EU foreign ministers participating in a ‘study group for the future of Europe’ aim to exert pressure to transform the EU into a federation along the lines of the US. Together they have prepared…a ‘Plan for transformation into a European state.’ On 19 June, the ten ministers presented an initial report to the EU officials… The “study group for the future” initiated by Germany’s Guido Westerwelle, which does not currently include an official French representative, proposes to put an end to the dominance of national government leaders and give greater authority to the European Commission…” – source

Macron said he plans a “Jupiterian” presidency (like the Roman king of the gods, Jupiter, who carefully weighed his pronouncements). Another worshiped god of the Romans was Janus, who was often invoked together with Jupiter. Who was Janus?

In Roman mythology, Janus was the god of doorways, gates and transitions, and of beginnings and endings, having two faces looking in opposite directions. The doors of the temple of Janus were traditionally open only during time of war, and closed to mark the end of the conflict. Thus, the temple of Janus may be used metaphorically to mean conflict or wartime.” – source

From “The Dual Meaning Behind Macron’s Jupiterian Presidency:”

The Jupiter theory contends that the president is the supreme authority…His authority depends on the scarcity of his words. While Macron mentioned Jupiter, he deliberately failed to mention Janus – commonly known as the ‘God with Two Faces’…Other than the blatant pagan worship, ancient Roman traditions declare that Jupiter cannot exist without Janus… Jupiter is first in order of importance, sure, but second to Janus in order of time.

Janus is the prima, the beginning. Jupiter is the summa; the highest. Incidentally, summa also translates to ‘last.’ Macron was therefore making a very archaic reference, essentially calling himself the Janus AND the Jupiter, ‘Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.’ He was hinting in an egotistical belief of being God Incarnate….” – source

Macron has been criticized for taking an arrogant approach, such as when he didn’t conduct the traditional French presidents’ Bastille Day TV interview because his thoughts are “too complex” for such a forum. Due to the backlash, he has now decided to make himself more open to his subjects.

Does Macron have such visions of grandeur because of the name he was given at birth? Emmanuel means “God with us,” and Macron means “a written or printed mark…”

Macron has proven to be a staunch globalist. In a speech at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, he stated that Europeans must turn away from “selfish nationalism.” Other statements he has made include, “I am not just a liberal movement. I come from the progressive Left. I am trying to refresh and counter the system.” “Europe and the world are waiting for us to defend the spirit of Enlightenment, threatened in so many places.” “Globalization can be a great opportunity.” “We have to fight for a new and stronger Europe… Now is the time.”

Paul Zajac, a visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute on leave from the French diplomatic service, said of Macron, “Many people, especially here in Washington DC, tend to see him as a white knight of the liberal world order who challenges Trump and populism.” In other words, Macron shares the global government agenda of the DC liberal politicians that President Trump is against. That’s why they’re so desperately trying to take Trump down. They want to wrest total power back so they can finish off the US and bring their global agenda into fruition.

This week, Macron traveled to Aachen, Germany to receive the prestigious Charlemagne Prize. What’s that all about and what is the significance?

Charlemagne, From King of the Franks to “Holy” Roman Emperor:

As the Roman Empire was falling apart, the Franks (a Germanic tribe in present-day Belgium, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and western Germany) moved their homes into the Roman Empire. By 700 AD they were the rulers of Gaul and a large part of Germania east of the Rhine. They protected the papacy and the Roman Catholic faith.

Charlemagne, also known as Charles the Great, became king of the Franks and later king of the Lombards in. In an unusual move, he had himself crowned with the Iron Crown, and made the magnates of Lombardy pay homage to him at Pavia. (More on the Iron Crown shortly.)

Aachen is the westernmost city in Germany, located near the borders with Belgium and the Netherlands. Aachen developed from a Roman settlement and spa, subsequently becoming the preferred medieval Imperial residence of Charlemagne and, from 936 to 1531, the place where 31 Holy Roman Emperors were crowned Kings of the Germans. In 800, Charlemagne was crowned Emperor in Rome on December 25th by Pope Leo III, which began what was called the “Holy” Roman Empire. – source

Charlemagne spread his empire across much of Western Europe through many wars in establishing the “Holy” Roman Empire. He was known for using his sword named Joyeuse in all thirty years of war and the 18 battles in which he fought. He had thousands killed who failed to convert to Catholicism.

He was dubbed the ‘father of Europe’ and was a role model for Napoleon and Hitler, both of whom had visions of ruling a unified Europe. Napoleon is considered by some to be the first Antichrist, and Hitler is considered to be the second Antichrist.

Napoleon saw himself as a second Charlemagne, even to the point of declaring “I am Charlemagne.” Napoleon even chose Emperor Charlemagne’s Roman tomb sarcophagus to accompany him on his triumphal procession through Paris in 1798, followed six years later when he had himself crowned Emperor by the pope.

Hitler admired Charlemagne but felt he didn’t go far enough east in his conquests. Hitler had the imperial crown and other regalia of the “Holy” Roman Empire brought from Vienna to Nuremberg. He and other senior Nazis built homes where Charlemagne had his resting place. The Third Reich claimed to be the last and true successor of the former “Holy” Roman Empire

Macron is Awarded the Charlemagne Prize

The Charlemagne Prize, considered today to be “the Oscar in politics,” has been awarded to the founders of the European Union as well as various politicians and “dignitaries.” Former president Bill Clinton wanted to build up a power in Europe, and he received the Charlemagne Prize in 2000 for doing so. It was awarded to Pope Francis in 2016 “for his moral authority in defending the fundamental values of the EU.” The communiqué on the International Charlemagne Prize award states that the Pope sends a message of mercy and tolerance and underlines the need for European unity and solidarity.

Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel, a former recipient of this award, was at Macron’s Charlemagne award presentation as were other European dignitaries who have received the award. She said of Macron, “He has clear ideas on where and when Europe needs to evolve and has the capacity to inspire young Europeans.” Macron praised Europe in his acceptance speech for maintaining 70 years of peace. He also presented his vision for the future, calling for more unity among member states.

Macron went to a Catholic mass just before attending the award ceremony.

The “Holy” Roman Empire

British and American leaders have actually helped build a modern resurrection of the “Holy” Roman Empire.

The Roman Empire may have fallen centuries ago, but it didn’t really die; it just changed into a mystery form—from political to “religious,” lead by the Roman bishops who had by then gained much power and influence. They even kept the emperor’s title of Pontifex Maximus” as is shown here carved on a statue at St. Peter’s Basilica (8:51 mark. Warning: the video of the inside of St. Peter’s Basilica is chilling).

The RCC claims that the Iron Crown contains a beaten nail used at the crucifixion of Jesus should be taken about as seriously as other RCC claims. For instance:

From Wikipedia: “The Holy Prepuce, or Holy Foreskin is one of several relics attributed to Jesus, a product of the circumcision of Jesus. At various points in history, a number of churches in Europe have claimed to possess Jesus’ foreskin, sometimes at the same time. Various miraculous powers have been ascribed to it.”

Several Catholic institutions claim to have either the head of John the Baptist or various parts of his skull or body. Even the Grand Mosque of Damascus, Syria claims to have the head of John the Baptist and claim it has powers. See the various photos and read about these claims here.

In his autobiography Pilgrimage to Rome, Bart Brewer (ex-priest and head of Mission to Catholics International) said, “Even Martin Luther wondered how there could be twenty-six apostles buried in Germany, when there were only twelve in the entire Bible! It is said that if all the pieces of the cross displayed in Catholic churches were assembled together, it would take a ten-ton truck to carry them. It is clear that most ‘relics’ are frauds. Furthermore, there is nothing in the Bible that supports the veneration of relics, even if they are genuine” (page 132).

The early church was not the Roman Catholic Church, and Peter was never a pope. The early Christians were persecuted horribly by the Roman government during the Roman Empire, and this didn’t stop during the “Holy” Roman Empire. Those who tried to get the Bible into the hands of the laypeople so they could read it for themselves were killed. The Protestant Reformation was a widespread revolt against the abuses and totalitarian control of the Roman Catholic Church and its unbiblical practices.

Paver Number Two

Pope Francis is trying to rein everyone in to the Catholic church, embracing all religions and the non-religious, leading them all to believe there are many paths to God. He believes that you will be saved just by being “good” or doing “good works.” And of course those works must be done in the Catholic church. But what does the Bible say?

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8).

The church is the body of believers in Christ of which He is the head, not the pope. “And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way” (Ephesians 1:22-23).

No one can deny that both Emmanuel Macron and the pope are paving the way for the future leaders of a one-world government and a one-world religion. Revelation 13 warns against both, which will be headed by the Antichrist and the False Prophet. And Revelation 17 warns us of the one-world Mother of Harlots “Mystery” Babylon religion that will be headquartered in Rome. All false religions have their roots in the original false religion that was begun in Babylon.

“Children it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour” (John 2:18).

Ultimately, man’s swords and crowns will mean nothing when the King of kings and Lord of lords, Christ Jesus, returns to Earth. “And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God” (Revelation 19:15).

The Lessons Of History - The Price Of Bread Can Bring Revolution

 ARTICLE

By Simon Black/Activist Post January 27, 2022

News Image

On the morning of October 5, 1789, dozens of women were looking for food at an outdoor market in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine neighborhood of Paris.

But the store shelves were nearly empty. Bread in particular- a staple of the French diet- was in critically short supply. And what little bread the shops did have available was being sold for sky-high prices.

This was nothing new for French peasants; the government had mismanaged the economy so poorly that food supplies had been falling (and bread prices rising) for several years.

There had even been food riots and protests going back more than a decade to the mid 1770s. But the situation only worsened.

People finally reached their breaking point that October morning in 1789, when a single young woman standing in corner of the marketplace began beating a drum, signaling the other women that it was time for another protest.

As they marched through the streets, more and more supporters joined, with some estimates as high as 10,000 people.

Their first stop was City Hall in Paris, located at the Hotel de Ville; there, officials opened grain reserves to feed the protesters. But the mob's anger wasn't quenched.

At this point they didn't just want bread, or even a single meal. They wanted revolution. So from there they set out to Versailles, the King's palace outside of Paris.

It took them about six hours to reach Versailles, where, that evening, King Louis XVI met personally with some of the protest leaders.

He made promises to give them more food, then later announced that he would voluntarily relinquish some of his power and accept a new bill of rights for the French people.

But the crowd still wasn't satisfied.

So around 6am the following morning, the protesters decided to enter the palace. Royal guards barely resisted this insurrection; they shot one protester, and one guard was killed.

But for the most part, people were easily able to access the inside of the palace where they freely wandered the halls as if enjoying a museum tour.

By 1pm the protesters' leadership had found the king and demanded that he accompany them back to Paris. He agreed.

The march back took roughly 9 hours, and it had the feeling of a parade. The crowd (which had grown to 60,000 by that point) was overjoyed, because it was clear that the King was at their mercy. And they were the ones in control.

There are so many similar examples throughout human history, and they all lead to the same conclusion: don't screw up the food supply.

Politicians can get away with an astonishing level of corruption and incompetence, and their citizens will tolerate it. But if enough people struggle to put food on the table for their families, trouble is coming.

Any politician with half a brain understands this lesson. Sadly it's not clear if the people in charge today even have half a brain.

Inflation has been rising for nearly a year. None of the so-called experts saw it coming. Even when inflation was obvious, their approach was to gaslight people and deny it. Then they told us that inflation was "transitory".

Then when they finally admitted it was a problem, they said they'd consider doing something about it in a few months.

After its two-day meeting this week, officials from the Federal Reserve are expected to announce that they're FINALLY going to take some action to combat inflation... in MARCH.

So just sit tight another month and a half.

Unfortunately, any action the Fed takes at this point is "too little, too late".

Today's inflation is the result of a number of factors- demand, supply, and money.

On the demand side, the federal government literally deposited cash in people's bank accounts, fueling a surge in consumer spending.

Yet on the supply side, they closed businesses, told people to stay home, and compelled companies to fire millions of heretical workers.

The end result is fewer goods and services being produced, at a time when people have more money to spend and the appetite to do so. This is what has caused rising prices.

Yet on top of this mess, the Federal Reserve has been supercharging inflation by shoveling money into the US economy by the trillions.

Now they're promising to reduce their money printing and promise to have a few tiny, symbolic interest rate increases.

Sorry, but this won't really move the needle, especially when it comes to food.

Most people would be surprised at how labor intensive agriculture is. Certainly there are a number of crops (especially grain) that are fully mechanized throughout the entire process- planting, maintenance, harvest, and distribution.

But many key food products require significant manpower at some point in the chain.

Meat, for example, is very labor intensive because of the number of people required to run a pack house operation.

And many staple fruits and vegetables require an army of harvest workers to hand pick the produce.

So now, because of Covid (and the government response to Covid) pack houses in the US are struggling to maintain staff. And finding enough harvest workers in America has become borderline impossible.

There's also a major problem in US agriculture that so many farm costs, from fertilizers to fuel to even packing materials (like cardboard and plastic containers) are soaring. And these costs are all obviously passed on to consumers.

Container ports also continue to be a major bottleneck, as meat, fruit, vegetables imported from overseas are literally rotting off the coast of California.

Increasing interest rates by 0.25% is not going to fix any of these issues. It won't clear the ports, and it won't bring the workers back.

Fortunately it's not 1789 anymore. And even though capitalism is on the ropes, there's enough of it remaining for now to prevent dire food shortages.

Talented people around the world are working very hard to ensure that quality food is being grown and delivered to consumers, despite every obstacle the government puts in their way.

So I'm not suggesting that food riots are imminent.

But rising prices? Absolutely. And that's going to have serious implications for political leadership.

It's interesting that the French Revolution is typically considered to have begun on July 14, 1789; that's the day that revolutionaries stormed the Bastille armory in Paris. And its anniversary remains one of the most important national holidays in France today.

But back in 1789, the response to the storming of the Bastille was fairly tame.

Thomas Jefferson, for example, was coincidentally stationed in Paris in the summer of 1789 and witnessed everything.

He wrote to John Jay on July 19th, just five days after the storming of the Bastille, "Tranquillity is now restored to the Capital: the shops are again opened; the people resuming their labours, and, if the want of bread does not disturb our peace, we may hope a continuance of it."

So even Jefferson, who was incredibly astute, didn't think that the storming of the Bastille was the start of a full blown revolution.

It was only until three months later, when an angry mob had literally taken control of the King, did everyone realize the truth: people want change, and they're not messing around.

And it all started because of the price (and scarcity) of bread.

In Antichrist’s Shadow :: By Terry James

I want to make it exceedingly clear that I consider myself neither a prophet nor a son of a prophet in the Old Testament sense. However, I believe that in these times, as we see the Tribulation closing in like a tightening vice, all who earnestly watch the developments—including yours truly—can qualify in some sense under God’s definition of what constitutes a prophet. Since we are all commanded to “watch,” according to Jesus Himself, believers have the command to be prophets in the sense of forth-telling. That is “forth-telling,” not “foretelling.” We are to observe the times—the issues and events—and compare them with Bible prophecy to see if there is prophetic relevance as we see the fulfillment of Christ’s return approaching. We are then to tell others, warn them that the time of fulfillment is nearing.

Jesus said: “And what I say unto one, I say unto all. Watch” (Mark 13:37).

I say without apology that I believe the following Old Testament truth applies in some sense to each believer today who sincerely tries to discern these strange times.

“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealed his secret unto his servants the prophets” (Amos 3: 7).

The Lord, because He has given us His complete Word, the Bible, no longer gives the power to foretell. However, He expects us to be discerning enough through Bible study, prayer, and observation of the times to “forth tell” matters in order to forewarn. I believe we’re being given prophetic indicators as in no other times in modern history.

For example, as we have “forth-told” many times, all of Israel’s Gog-Magog enemies listed in Ezekiel 38 and 39 are now gathered north of God’s chosen nation. The coalition of Russia, Iran, Turkey, and others have coalesced. At some point those nations will, as God has said, rush in storm-like fashion toward Israel.

We have “forth-told” this reality in order to forewarn of where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline.

In the same sense, we have “forth-told” our prayerful, studied observations that the minions, both human and demonic, of Ephesians 6:12 are at work in these closing moments of the age. Those “powers and principalities” are so obviously trying to bring Satan’s one-world regime into being that it cannot be missed by believers who are watching these developments.

Again, I’m neither a prophet nor a son of a prophet (although my daddy was a pretty wise fellow). But I must be true to the commission I believe the Lord has given us as believers—to watch with prayerful study and observation developments on the prophetic horizon.

This brings us to “Antichrist’s shadow.”

The stage-setting is in every direction we look for the son of perdition to leap onto the end-times platform. Many control mechanisms have been carefully and methodically formed and put into position for the rise of the wicked one of 2 Thessalonians 2. Of course, he cannot appear as long as we, believers, are still on the planet. But, like in all prophetic matters, the long shadows of coming evil darkens these times. Antichrist’s long shadow precedes his coming to power once the Church, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, is called into the air in that glorious instant promised through the Apostle Paul.

One of those long shadows we see each day as times get ever darker is the so-called pandemic. The lockdowns, the mandates, the insane rants and raves of those who want imprisonment and even death to come to those who refuse the vaccination demands are red lights of warning. The “forth-telling” prophets—believers who want to alert others of the coming man of sin—are duty-bound to flash those red lights before a world going down the broad road to destruction scheduled for the Tribulation.

It is with this matter of desiring to forewarn further that I, like many, point to an interesting development on the geopolitical scene.

Emmanuel Macron, president of France, is a fascinating character, as we consider these times so near the dénouement of this Age of Grace.

His name means “God with us,” as many know. It was one of the names Bible prophets said Jesus, Himself, would be called centuries before He came to earth as a baby. This fact alone is sufficiently interesting to make a forth-telling believer focus intensely.

This man who will soon assume the presidency of the European Union, as its France’s turn, is thought by some in his orbit to be a genius who always manages to get his way. His charm, they claim, can and does disarm his enemies with relative ease.

His history, as given by some who apparently have made an in-depth study into his background, indicates a more esoteric pathway as he began his rise to power.

One report gives the view that is less than flattering to the young, mercurial French leader.

Psychiatrist Adriano Sagatori, who says he has studied the biography of the French president, described Mr. Macron as a psychopath who he said would not fight for the French people.

“Like all psychopaths, he believes in his higher purpose. Macron does not love France and will not fight for the French people,” [Sagatori said]. (“Emmanuel Macron labeled ‘psychopath who hates France’ in Russian media,” The Independent)

My friend Matt Ward, who wrote an in-depth article on the French president, reported that information he gathered presented the following conclusion by the psychiatrist.

Sagatori concludes, ominously, by summing up who he believes Macron really is clinically, in view of his psycho-social profile: “So we are confronted with three paradigms that define a certain type of personality; 1) the idea that there exist no limits; 2) a feeling of omnipotence from childhood, but even more so in adulthood; 3) a narcissism that can accurately be defined as malevolent.” (“Emmanuel Macron,” by Matt Ward, raptureready.com)

All this to say that the coming Antichrist’s shadow is already forecasting truly evil times just ahead.

Will Emmanuel Macron be that beast of Revelation 13? I don’t know. That wicked prince that shall come won’t be revealed this side of the Rapture. But looking at this man gives the believer who is a prayerful, studied observer reasonable latitude to conclude that, while we don’t know, we can’t say that we haven’t a clue.

ETYMOLOGY OF THE NAME “MACRON”

By Jean-Louis Mondon. https://thelightseed.blogspot.com/

Thank you for this interesting comment. About the last line, it tickled my researcher´s bone and prompted me to action. As somebody interested in languages, more specifically in etymology and phonetics, I would like to share and amplify on the comment above with my translation of excerpts of an interesting and relevant article. (I don´t even know if the writer is a believer) If anybody is interested in the link I have it.

I will not speculate on the subject but I am reminded of the parable of the Dragnet here: https://www.gotquestions.org/parable-dragnet.html

“...In fact, the root comes from the Low Country i.e. Holland, from a verb in the Middle-Age Dutch “maken”. Take away one letter and you end up with the English verb “to Make”. The primary meaning is even more specific in Flemish: “to draw an agreement”, that will define the “Makeleare”, one who makes the contract – as found in the job of a negotiator or a broker (frankly speaking, to become Secretary of Finances one can hardly do better!)

I am certain you must ask yourself what owed this distinction to the name of a fish ...the “Mackerel ” that could it tend towards a derived form of “to do a [violent] action”, hence, to put a mark on something ( to strike metal for example, then to strike someone)? Biologists have remembered this detail to identify the fish that has marks on the back (brown or black spots). But not with certainty, at least etymologically."
