What the Bible says about light and seed

The True Light "In him, (the Lord Jesus) was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world,…the world didn’t recognize him." John 1:4,9.

The Good Seed and the Weeds “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seeds in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. Matthew 13:24,25.

Job Laments the Finality of Death
6look away from him and let him rest, so he can enjoy his day as a hired hand. 7For there is hope for a tree: If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its tender shoots will not fail. 8If its roots grow old in the ground and its stump dies in the soil,…

The verse Job 14:7 says, "For there is hope for the tree: if it be cut down, it will yet be renewed, and its branches will not cease." He compares nature"s capacity for renewal, represented by a tree, with the hope that can exist even in difficult situations in human life.

In other words, Job 14:7 uses the image of a tree that, even if it is cut down, can sprout again, to illustrate the idea that life can be renewed, even after moments of great difficulty. The verse suggests that hope should not be abandoned, for life has the ability to regenerate, just like a tree cut down.In addition, the passage can also be interpreted as a reflection on the brevity of human life compared to nature, but even so,

hope can persist, even in the face of death, just as the tree is reborn after being cut down

Then, we have Job 14:14:  the question is, "If a man dies, will he live again? All the days of my battle I will wait, until my change comes."
This passage from the book of Job expresses Job"s doubt and hope regarding the afterlife. He questions whether a dying man can come back to life, and expresses his hope that there will be a change or relief in his current situation, even if it involves death.

Explanation:
"If a man dies, shall he live again?":
Job is pondering the possibility of resurrection or continued life after death.
"All the days of my battle I will wait...":
He declares that even in the face of uncertainty about the afterlife, he will continue to hope for a change in his situation, a deliverance from his sufferings.
"... until my change comes.":
This "change" can refer to a restoration of health, a resolution of your problems, or even death as a release from your difficulties.

Context:
Job is going through a period of great suffering and affliction, facing sickness, loss, and the misunderstanding of his friends. He questions the reason for so much suffering and seeks an answer about life after death

So, here I am reading the book of Job.

Suddenly, I realized that God is so powerful that he does not need  to defend him, that he is not as sensitive as we human beings whose ego cannot stand under the scrutiny of criticism even when it is justified and deserved.

But then, another thought came to me.  The Lord did not stop Job until he was ready to reveal  himself and the reality of Job´s circumstances surrounding his suffering. He did not even try to stop his three friends from badgering him.

Whenever I feel sad or despondent because my reflections or studies, the best I have to offer my readers is ignored or does not produce any reaction, I feel a little like a person who trusts the waves of the sea to carry a message in a bottle to whomever will by chance read the message and hopefully respond. The Lord, then, reminds me  that he is the only one I have to please.

Anyway, I do write because I love him, I want to share his love with others the gifts he has given me.

Every time I feel like quitting writing in my blogs, I feel that it is what I am supposed to do even though the reward will come later, perhaps one day.

Things, circumstances, landscapes, people and seasons change. But the gifts that God gave me remain the same. They need to be practiced and refined, even if I cannot see the face of my readers or am unable to read any comments besides those of a few faithful friends.

Another comforting thought, even more powerful came to mind. That my Lord Jesus, the Master Teacher could be pleased with my writing. After all, most of it is a commentary of a sort, not a critique, but a way of explaining to myself with the Holy Spirit as a guide, an actual and actualized understanding of the thoughts of God that come with the meditating upon his Word.

This is my part of obeying him and thinking about the closest, more true, holy, pure excellent, of good repute things that I, as the author of my blog am translating as faithfully as possible as Paul is talking about in the letter to the Philippians.

I would compare to a small child who wants to know the secrets of life and comes to his Father to ask questions. Then, as part of the conversation, he listens to what his Father has to say and as a way of letting him that he, the child understands, he tells him in his own words what he heard this Father say through the illumination of the Holy Spirit. How patient is the Father with us? How full of mercy and understanding he is with us? It is like hum saying Amen in many more words, like finding that the puzzle is taking shape all along life´s learning as the Holy Spirit reveals his wisdom, his will and his ways to us.

It provides a sense of security, of feeling understood and heard without the preconceived notions, the prejudices that are so prevalent with us human beings, without all the limitations and rules that people use to judge and control.

When we understand that our Lord Jesus is our best friend, even as we feel abandoned by the ones we love and at times we feel lonely, his presence is a reminder of his words:” I will never leave you alone” peace and joy are ours, we are complete in him, lacking nothing. We are rich even though we own nothing that we are not going to lose or leave behind one day. Then

Our life is hidden in him in the heavenlies.

Then, we are not anxious about whether people love us, appreciate us or approve of us. What matters is what our Father thinks of us, whether we obey him, whether we seek to please him and do whatever he commands, with a desire to serve him and our fellow man, that we preach his Word and that we are waiting for his soon return while delighting in his presence, being grateful and praising him.

Conclusion

Sacrifice, Obedience, and Prayer
14For here we do not have a permanent city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. 15Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that confess His name. 16And do not neglect to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.…

Benediction and Farewell
19And I especially urge you to pray that I may be restored to you soon. 20Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21equip you with every good thing to do His will. And may He accomplish in us what is pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.… Hebrews 13:14-21.

Here is a poem I wrote as a testimony of God´s help in uncertain times when I needed guidance.
