What the Bible says about light and seed
The Good Seed and the Weeds “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seeds in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away.” Matthew 13:24,25.

Prophecy and the 2022 Mid-Term Elections - Rev. Michael Bresciani
By Rev. Michael Bresciani ——Bio and Archives--September 26, 2022
If you are expecting a specific passage of the Bible to refer to the upcoming mid-term elections – don’t hold your breath. But as the bible refers to the general decline of nations in the last days, our midterms are part of the web and weave of it all.
We love to repeat the worn-out phrase about how religion and politics don’t mix but, trying to extricate the will and counsel of God from our history is an act of pure futility. Everything we do, including our involvement with politics, enters the realm of God’s responses to us in real time.
We know the difference between a president and a savior
The harder a nation sins, the harder it falls.
America’s first and most serious mistake is not political. Americans seem almost incapable of understanding that God sees nations as a body of like minds and their collective sinfulness is dealt with on that basis.
“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” (Pr 14:34)
As true believers we are indebted to the gospel message and that means we are to put the message of life-giving salvation through the shed blood of the Savior first. We may also encourage civic mindedness in choosing the best president and other leaders for the country – but we are not confused.
But we can safely say, that for those who do not choose Christ, it is not likely they are going to make the right choice for a conservative and patriotic president.
It is said that the more popular Christianity becomes, the weaker it becomes. There is little doubt that Christianity is on the wane in America and is estimated to be decreasing by 1% every year in the last several years, The mega church model is slipping and the sense that it has become largely big production entertainment is causing many to look for something else.
Those who personally turn to God already know, that politics would be the poorest substitute for their relationship with and their worship of God.
We also know that politics affects almost every facet of our daily lives. Inflation, prices, housing, schooling, and social matters are all guided by the political climate of the day.
This alone is the reason we must choose leaders who are morally circumspect and honorable. With today’s democrats in control of the nation’s politics, that has become almost impossible.
If we do not change these things – it will not matter who we vote into office
Warning America of the changes it needs to make, is both a calling, and an irrepressible compunction born of the very Spirit of God. Even though it has been said in so many ways, the urgency has never been so great as it is this day.
We cannot continue to mutilate and molest our children in the name of gender confusion and transgenderism as we are now doing in our hospitals and clinics. It will bring deadly results regardless of who we vote for. God has his limitations.
Next, if we continue to teach our children that they may not be the gender they were born as, God will intervene, and the results will be a further plunge into financial distress and natural and manmade disasters.
Homosexual madness, transgender experimentation, and national gender dysphoria are demonically induced proclivities from the pits of hell, and no one is entitled to make an apology for us. We don’t ask devils for their opinion about anything.
If we will not defend and protect our children, God will. The days when he stands up to require us to hear him will be the sorriest days our nation will ever know.
Here’s the simple Biblical solution – repent.
On the outside chance that you are not familiar with this word, it means “cut it out” - quickly. We are dangerously perched on the precipice of our own destruction, republican or democrat leaders notwithstanding.
Are the things we allow; the reason God has allowed Joe Biden to take office?
“And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding” (Daniel 2:21)
The bible is quite clear, God has declared that he alone sets up or takes down rulers. Could Joe Biden have slipped by God’s sovereignty to take the White House? In fact, he may have slipped by us, but God is never fooled.
Here is a compact list of what we are allowing in our nation right now that could have caused God to bring in the kind of rulers we have at this moment.
- The sexualization of our children.
- Teaching of CRT and other socialist doctrines in our schools.
- Promotion and active promulgation of the entire LGBT+ agenda.
- Exposing children to trans people in libraries and classrooms.
- Removing faith and belittling of the faithful in our schools and universities.
- Persecution of believers, churches, and faith-based organizations.
- The hatred of those in specific political parties and their former leader Donald Trump.
- The clamoring for yet more dead babies in some states to add to the 60+ million already lost to the scourge of Roe v. Wade.
- The wasting of America’s wealth and taxes on a fake cult called climate change.
- The legalization of drugs and the permissive attitude toward drug abuse.
- The opening of our sovereign borders to anyone including human traffickers, drug smugglers and terrorists.
- The dishonesty and skullduggery of dead, fake and non-existent voters in our national and local elections.
- The deliberate destruction of our energy dominance and independence and the selling of our reserves to o
- The very real threat of nuclear war with our greatest enemies.
- The shortage of food and staples.
- Rising costs of all goods.
- Rising cost of fuel and energy.
- Decline of education and practical training across the nation.
- Unbridled crime and endangerment of millions in our cities and sub-urban areas.
- Fentanyl deaths that overtake the number of victims lost to fake gender dysphoria.
The two-part solution in all its attractive simplicity
- As previously mentioned, – repent.
- Stop voting for Democrats, or anyone who does not love this country or live in the truth.
Tomorrow is up to us – but here is what’s ahead for the very near future.
We can describe and endlessly discuss the state of the nation and what will happen to us if we continue our present course. But then along comes the prophetic.
Here is what I can say with complete confidence.
America is headed for an ever-deepening period of extreme poverty and scarcity. The cornucopia is emptying fast, and it has only begun.
Turn now America, while there is still time.

In Antichrist’s Shadow :: By Terry James
I want to make it exceedingly clear that I consider myself neither a prophet nor a son of a prophet in the Old Testament sense. However, I believe that in these times, as we see the Tribulation closing in like a tightening vice, all who earnestly watch the developments—including yours truly—can qualify in some sense under God’s definition of what constitutes a prophet. Since we are all commanded to “watch,” according to Jesus Himself, believers have the command to be prophets in the sense of forth-telling. That is “forth-telling,” not “foretelling.” We are to observe the times—the issues and events—and compare them with Bible prophecy to see if there is prophetic relevance as we see the fulfillment of Christ’s return approaching. We are then to tell others, warn them that the time of fulfillment is nearing.
Jesus said: “And what I say unto one, I say unto all. Watch” (Mark 13:37).
I say without apology that I believe the following Old Testament truth applies in some sense to each believer today who sincerely tries to discern these strange times.
“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealed his secret unto his servants the prophets” (Amos 3: 7).
The Lord, because He has given us His complete Word, the Bible, no longer gives the power to foretell. However, He expects us to be discerning enough through Bible study, prayer, and observation of the times to “forth tell” matters in order to forewarn. I believe we’re being given prophetic indicators as in no other times in modern history.
For example, as we have “forth-told” many times, all of Israel’s Gog-Magog enemies listed in Ezekiel 38 and 39 are now gathered north of God’s chosen nation. The coalition of Russia, Iran, Turkey, and others have coalesced. At some point those nations will, as God has said, rush in storm-like fashion toward Israel.
We have “forth-told” this reality in order to forewarn of where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline.
In the same sense, we have “forth-told” our prayerful, studied observations that the minions, both human and demonic, of Ephesians 6:12 are at work in these closing moments of the age. Those “powers and principalities” are so obviously trying to bring Satan’s one-world regime into being that it cannot be missed by believers who are watching these developments.
Again, I’m neither a prophet nor a son of a prophet (although my daddy was a pretty wise fellow). But I must be true to the commission I believe the Lord has given us as believers—to watch with prayerful study and observation developments on the prophetic horizon.
This brings us to “Antichrist’s shadow.”
The stage-setting is in every direction we look for the son of perdition to leap onto the end-times platform. Many control mechanisms have been carefully and methodically formed and put into position for the rise of the wicked one of 2 Thessalonians 2. Of course, he cannot appear as long as we, believers, are still on the planet. But, like in all prophetic matters, the long shadows of coming evil darkens these times. Antichrist’s long shadow precedes his coming to power once the Church, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, is called into the air in that glorious instant promised through the Apostle Paul.
One of those long shadows we see each day as times get ever darker is the so-called pandemic. The lockdowns, the mandates, the insane rants and raves of those who want imprisonment and even death to come to those who refuse the vaccination demands are red lights of warning. The “forth-telling” prophets—believers who want to alert others of the coming man of sin—are duty-bound to flash those red lights before a world going down the broad road to destruction scheduled for the Tribulation.
It is with this matter of desiring to forewarn further that I, like many, point to an interesting development on the geopolitical scene.
Emmanuel Macron, president of France, is a fascinating character, as we consider these times so near the dénouement of this Age of Grace.
His name means “God with us,” as many know. It was one of the names Bible prophets said Jesus, Himself, would be called centuries before He came to earth as a baby. This fact alone is sufficiently interesting to make a forth-telling believer focus intensely.
This man who will soon assume the presidency of the European Union, as its France’s turn, is thought by some in his orbit to be a genius who always manages to get his way. His charm, they claim, can and does disarm his enemies with relative ease.
His history, as given by some who apparently have made an in-depth study into his background, indicates a more esoteric pathway as he began his rise to power.
One report gives the view that is less than flattering to the young, mercurial French leader.
Psychiatrist Adriano Sagatori, who says he has studied the biography of the French president, described Mr. Macron as a psychopath who he said would not fight for the French people.
“Like all psychopaths, he believes in his higher purpose. Macron does not love France and will not fight for the French people,” [Sagatori said]. (“Emmanuel Macron labeled ‘psychopath who hates France’ in Russian media,” The Independent)
My friend Matt Ward, who wrote an in-depth article on the French president, reported that information he gathered presented the following conclusion by the psychiatrist.
Sagatori concludes, ominously, by summing up who he believes Macron really is clinically, in view of his psycho-social profile: “So we are confronted with three paradigms that define a certain type of personality; 1) the idea that there exist no limits; 2) a feeling of omnipotence from childhood, but even more so in adulthood; 3) a narcissism that can accurately be defined as malevolent.” (“Emmanuel Macron,” by Matt Ward, raptureready.com)
All this to say that the coming Antichrist’s shadow is already forecasting truly evil times just ahead.
Will Emmanuel Macron be that beast of Revelation 13? I don’t know. That wicked prince that shall come won’t be revealed this side of the Rapture. But looking at this man gives the believer who is a prayerful, studied observer reasonable latitude to conclude that, while we don’t know, we can’t say that we haven’t a clue.

Patterns and Prophecies - Wendy Wippel
Prophecy - Signs

Wendy Wippel
“Hermeneutics” is the stuffy theological term for the lens through which we see Scripture. Western evangelicals, for example, see the Bible as a self-help book, with every verse a promise to claim. The Bible, however, was not written by Joel Osteen (Can I get an amen?), but by Middle Eastern men, who wrote out what God breathed. Their hermeneutics? Similitudes.
Jesus Himself told us that: “'These things in similitudes I have spoken to you, but there cometh an hour when no more in similitudes will I speak to you, but freely of the Father will tell you.” (John 16:25 Youngs Literal Translation)
Similitudes being the translation of the Greek word paroimia, A word also translated symbol or allegories. God speaks to us in allegories.
Scripture, thankfully, defines some of these specific allegories for us.
Adam was an allegory of the Savior promised after the fall. (Romans 5:12-21)
Abraham offering up Isaac was an allegory of the crucifixion of Christ. (Hebrews 11:17-19)
Moses striking the rock in the wilderness was an allegory of God in the form of man being smitten for our sins. (II Corinthians 10:4)
To name a few.
In fact, Jesus tells two of His disciples --on the Emmaus road --a rather astounding thing, namely, that all of the Old Testament scriptures speak of Him. And He followed that up with an impromptu Bible study in which He explained to them, again, that “beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.” (Luke 24:25)
In other words, He explained to them that all of the Old Testament was about Him.
In context, obviously, meaning foreshadowings. Patterns that become prophecies, also known as “types” (short for prototypes).
Essentially meaning that the type is a foreshadowing that will eventually be fulfilled by the antitype -- Christ Himself.
Essentially a prophecy by analogy.
Exhibit A: probably one of the most widely recognized foreshadowings in Scripture, Abraham and Isaac on Mt. Moriah.
We all know this story:
"Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!”And he said, “Here I am.”It’s pretty hard to miss, in this passage, that Isaac is a type; a prophecy by analogy of Christ. It’s a whole lot easier to miss the details that confirm and validate the type unless you’re paying real attention.
2 Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”
3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. 4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off. 5 And Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the ladand I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.”
6 So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together. 7 But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!”
And he said, “Here I am, my son.”
Then he said, “Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”
8 And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.
9 Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.
11 But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!”
So he said, “Here I am.”
12 And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”
13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide;[b] as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”
15 Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, 16 and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son— 17 blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which isbut on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. 18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.” 19 So Abraham returned to his young men, and they rose and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba. (Genesis 22:1-19 NKJV)
For example:
- Isaac carries his own wood to the place of sacrifice.
- Isaac as a child specifically promised by God, just like Jesus. (Jn 15:4)
- Isaac was born to a women who physiologically couldn’t have children, just like Jesus.
- The moment that Abraham purposed to obey God’s command to sacrifice Isaac, the young man was essentially dead to him. Isaac was therefore “resurrected” and reunited with his father on the third day (Genesis 22:4) just like Jesus.
- Isaac was accompanied by two witnesses, just like Jesus. Isaac went on to have many many spiritual descendants, just like Jesus.
- Isaac cried out to his father (Gen 22:7), just like Jesus.
- God provided a ram for the sacrifice by ensnaring the ram’s horns in thorns. Just like Jesus, who wore a crown of thorns to His sacrifice. Still skeptical?
Notice also that, after they travel a ways, Abraham sees the place far off. And that he had to look up to see it. (Verse 4)
Finally (verse 9) they arrive at the specific place Abraham was instructed to sacrifice his son, Mt. Moriah. Specifically, up high on Mt. Moriah. Where thousands of years later a temple would be built-a temple in which other rams would be sacrificed for the sins of Abraham’s descendants.
Still not convinced?
You may have missed a very interesting omission in Abrahams’s happy ending:
…18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.” 19 So Abraham returned to his young men, and they rose and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba. Here’s my question. What the heck happened to Isaac?
Remember, this is a prophecy by analogy. So isn’t it interesting that the next time Isaac appears in the narrative is when he shows up to claim his bride Rebecca at the well.
Just like Jesus. Who will next appear to claim us as His bride.
