Sand falls through the hourglass, chimes ring out, a clock ticks, and an alarm sounds. We end 2013 as we began it　— in a mad dash down a broad and slippery road running from the height of human ideals to the depth of human depravity.

Biblically, "the last days" began on the day of Pentecost following the ascension of Jesus. On that occasion, Simon Peter stood and addressed Jews who were present in Jerusalem, but who represented far-flung lands and nationalities　— a mini-United Nations. He said, "This is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel," [Acts 2:16] then went on to quote the prophet.

In our time, we see the fulfillment of the prophets’ words for the last of the last days. Who will stand before this generation and proclaim, "This is that which was spoken by the prophets"?

Jesus taught that only God the Father knows the exact moment of His coming, but that we should watch for the signs of the times. We are not to set dates, but to watch for certain indicators. We will not know the day, but we will know the season of His return. Hebrews 10:25 speaks of us seeing the day of the Lord approach. The way we see that day approach is by seeing the gathering and increasing signs of His coming. In Matthew 24:33, Jesus speaks of those signs, and then says, "When you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors."

For 21st century football fans, the two-minute warning means a time to stop the game and show some ads on television. It’s a misnomer now to call it a "warning" because anyone in the stadium can look at the clock and know exactly how much time is left. In earlier days, one of the game officials kept the clock on the field. There might or might not have been a stadium clock, but if it was there, it was unofficial. It gave the fans and participants a general idea of the time remaining, but could be way off. So, with two minutes left, the officials stopped the game and notified both sides that there was only a little time left　— what you’re going to do, you must do now.

In a long distance race, it’s called the "gun lap" or the "bell lap." With one lap to go, a race official fires a gun or rings a bell, indicating that the race is almost over. What you’re going to do, you must do now.

In the usual process of childbirth, no one knows the exact time of the child’s entry into the world. But as the day draws near, signs accumulate. The mother’s outward appearance reflects the child’s growth. She grows to a point that might have seemed impossible a few months before. Finally, labor begins. The mother’s contractions grow in frequency and in intensity until they are almost constant and usually more severe than first-time moms ever dreamed. Jesus said the signs of His coming would be like that.

We don’t know the day, but we have had the two minute warning; heard the gun and the bell. The birth pangs are extreme and almost non-stop. What we’re going to do, we must do now.

Who will stand before this generation and proclaim, "This is that which was spoken by the prophets"? You will and I will. But . . . what we’re going to do, we must do now.

Now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

Freak storm: hailstorm with ice boulders rain down in Indian villages

Nine people killed as freak hailstorm rains massive boulders down on Indian villages
Hailstones the size of boulders have rained down on villages in southern India.
"At least nine people were killed when the violent weather hit several villages in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The hailstorm which lasted for almost 20 minutes, destroyed crops, houses and live stock, causing devastating financial implications for residents. It was once-in-lifetime experience for people living in seven villages in Chevella, Moinabad and Shankarpally. The hailstones started falling from the sky on Tuesday night and covered the entire villages under the snow-like blanket."

This area in India which received the hail is prone to huge hailstorms. The Weather Underground reports,

"The deadliest hailstorms, and perhaps the largest hailstones, in the world occur on the Deccan Plateau of northern India and in Bangladesh. The heaviest authenticated hailstone ever measured was one of 2.25 pounds that fell in the Gopalganj district of Bangladesh on April 14, 1986. The stones size was not measured although anecdotal reports claimed the stones were the size of “pumpkins”. Ninety-two people perished as a result of the storm although how many of these can be attributed to the hail is uncertain. A hailstorm in the Moradabad and Beheri districts of India killed 246 people on April 30, 1888, the deadliest hailstorm on record in modern history."

But even this storm has the Meteorological Office scratching their heads.
"HYDERABAD: Two days after a severe hailstorm lashed parts of Chevella mandal in Rangareddy district, a two-member team of meteorologists from the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) visited the affected areas, but were clueless as to what caused the unusual phenomena and were only able to give textbook answers. ... Officials said that hailstorm normally occurs during summer months but not in January. ... When asked if the hailstorm of such a scale as the one witnessed on Wednesday ever occurred, Rao said that there was no record and did not rule out such a possibility."

Here is a gentle reminder:

God controls the weather. He either sent the storm or He allowed satan some latitude to cause it. (Job 1:9-12, 19; Isaiah 30:30).

The other reminder is that He will send 100lb hailstones in the Tribulation.

"And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, fell from heaven on people; and they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe." (Revelation 16:21)

You notice the verses 'they cursed God for the hail'. The people by that time will know it is God sending these things as plagues, or judgments. It is better to know it now, before the judgment comes.

Do you acknowledge God is King (Psalm 29:10)? Do you understand that you are a sinner, that He sent His Son as the sacrifice to die for your sins, and God accepted the sacrifice by raising His Son from the dead to reign in heaven, and who will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead? That's the Gospel. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8)

The Real Crisis

Crises and potential crises surround us during every waking moment. Except for those who are oblivious to what is going on in this nation and world today, the cultural and societal pathway ahead disappears into the anxiety-laden darkness of the unknown. Rather than take on the entire world and its problems in this regard, I will, for our purposes in this commentary, stick to analyzing the fearful future of this nation I love.

Most in America--and sadly, in the church (born-again believers)--falls into that category of the oblivious. Therefore, the crises, from their perspective, don’t exist. All the forewarnings of coming disaster seem issued to ears that will never hear and presented to eyes that will never see. Yet, at the same time, the crises, themselves, do create undercurrents of worry. Even the otherwise diverted masses notice, at least for fleeting moments, when societal dangers disrupt their world of shopping and entertainment–for example, the murder of the children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Then, it is back to buying, selling, building, marrying, and giving in marriage, and the thousand and one other things that matter most to them.

Crises dominate the horizon politically, economically, and morally. As a matter of fact, they intertwine in such convolution as to now be inseparable so far as discerning where one aspect begins and the others end. There has developed, because of the incessant progression of assaults by evil actions, desensitization that affects the masses like a venomous bite by a deadly serpent.

The analogy is more than coincidental. It is a precise description of what has happened. The serpent of Genesis, chapter 3, has successfully injected much of America’s population with the same sort of morality-paralyzing toxin that separated man from God those many millennia ago. We have indeed reached the point of becoming a people like those at whom Isaiah the prophet pointed the finger of condemnation: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20).

This crisis of moral decay was brought home to me as I listened to the minister who was selected by the 44th president to read a prayer during the Obama inauguration on January 21. He, we are supposed to presume, prayed to the God of Heaven for Him to bless the gay lifestyle in that prayer for inclusiveness and tolerance in America.

This is the same administration that has made homosexuality and those who fight for the right to openly display the debased, debauched activities of that community in a very public way as the equivalent of the black community crusading for those people’s civil rights. This is the same political entity that will pull all the levers of governmental power at their disposal to protect the young of wildlife, thus to impose as much control as possible over individuals and businesses, under the guise of environmental concerns. These will, at the same time, do everything within that power to facilitate the murder of babies in their mothers' wombs for the sake of placating a voter base that desires to expediently get rid of unwanted fruits of their pleasure-seeking indiscretions.

While America sleeps, liberties are eroded one at a time, and the powers that be viciously seek to marginalize all who would disagree with their seizing by “executive action” constitutional powers the founding fathers built into the nation’s safeguards through checks and balances. Even those who have until recently adamantly opposed such a power grab seem now to be shrugging shoulders and going along with the mainstream media mantra that it is just the new norm.

But the dumbing-down of the American public and apparently, too, many of those constitutionally elected to represent it, in convincing that the new norm is just the hope and change that is the natural progression of such an advanced, sophisticated culture –thus the moral implosion that continues to take its toll-- isn’t the real crisis.

The real crisis is wrapped up in the following: the Church in this crucial hour is asleep, and if there is no preacher, how shall they hear? (Romans 10:14).

The Lord of Heaven might have just about reached the limits of His patience with a nation peopled by a populace that has lived the most materially–and even spiritually blessed—existence in the history of mankind. Proof that we might be near the outer limits of God’s tolerance for national rebellion is the fact that there seems a collective mindset now developed like that forewarned by the apostle Paul.

Please consider with all gravity the Word of the living God. I believe it is the equivalent of Isaiah’s finger pointed at my beloved United States of America:

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. LGBT's Two Minutes Hate

Rampant homosexuality has been much on my mind these last weeks. The 2012 Presidential campaign with the sinful and unholy Democrat platform, the Presidential re-election of a man who supports perversion, and the weeks afterward with the dogs of hell unleashed to rabidly foment gay chaos in front of a fast-advancing homosexual agenda, all are on my heart.

Many of us can feel the noose drawing ever tighter. Two weeks ago Franklin Graham wrote of America's spiritual cliff.

"Since the recent election, we’ve seen same-sex couples lining up at courthouses in several states to receive their marriage licenses, and hundreds of people gathering in public places to light up marijuana cigarettes in the states where it has just been decriminalized. This is only the tip of the iceberg. The moral decline we see on television programs—blatant immorality, senseless violence, media-friendly gay and lesbian behavior—is just a reflection of the moral corruption that has infected our entire nation. These are indeed dark days ... but there is hope. ... “For far too long, as a nation we have neglected – and even rejected – the Word of God and His commands. Yet the Scriptures are mighty, able to penetrate even the most hardened and darkened hearts with convicting, life-giving power. This is the only cure for a sin-sickened country that is about to slip into a moral abyss, and it is why we must proclaim the Good News.”

Graham was reacting to the news like this:

So feeling burdened with all this immorality, Mr Graham spoke up on December 27, 2012, and when 2013 came to pass a few days later the above articles show the homosexual lobby didn't waste time leaping onto the beast to cement their victories. Then Passion 2013 happened. I'd remarked at the time that analyzing the multi-day conference aimed at youth held in the Georgia Dome and organized by founder Louie Giglio had brought up in me personal grief and spiritual distress. Even more so than when usually analyzing a discernment conference or study, this one laid me low. I wrote about it four times. "This is a big one," I'd thought. I had no clue why. Only subsequent events revealed that this issue is still reverberating in the hellish halls of demonic doings.

God knew that one of the outcomes of the conference, which also focuses on solving cultural problems like human sex trafficking, would come to the attention of the man currently occupying the Oval Office, Barack Obama. Obama tapped founder and Passion City Church pastor Louie Giglio to pray the benediction at his inauguration. Giglio was not chosen because he is a conservative pastor, or that he is a preacher of the word, but because Giglio brought the issue of slavery to the forefront and had incited 60,000 youth to raise over 3M to stop it. Raising awareness of a cultural issue of slavery was the reason Giglio was asked, not because Obama was looking forward to being bathed in a joyful prayer issued from the lips of a man who preaches Jesus. As a matter of fact the person who he chose to deliver the prayer at Invocation was a woman and a layperson. Not Christian clergy.

The excitement of the evangelicals was short-lived anyway, those who believe Mr Giglio still preaches a solid Gospel message, that is. The next day Mr Giglio backed out because 20 years ago Mr Giglio said that homosexuality is a sin. ABC News reported it this way:

"Giglio’s mid-90s sermon uncovered by ThinkProgress"... Uncovered? Like, it was hiding? Even Giglio himself used shaming language by saying that "due to a message of mine that has surfaced from 15-20 years ago," Surfaced? Like it was hidden under something? A basket maybe? (Matthew 5:15).

Anyway ThinkProgress "uncovered the sermon and titled their resulting news article this way- "Anti-Gay Preacher Tapped for Obama's Inaugural Benediction Withdraws After Firestorm of Public Outrage."

Apparently the homosexual lobby took issue with the remarks Mr Giglio made in his sermon from 1995, it caused a firestorm, and Mr Giglio quit, saying that he didn't want the firestorm to overshadow his message. Giglio wrote in a press release, "The prayer I would offer, will be dwarfed by those seeking to make their agenda the focal point of the inauguration".

As an aside, I won't comment specifically on Mr Giglio's decision, though I have many opinions on it. Mr Al Mohler and Mr Russell Moore and Ms Erin Benziger all wrote on the issue from various perspectives, and wrote quite well. I don't want to add to the general confusion by throwing in my 2 cents which would really be one cent. But I would like to say one thing: that the furor that results from preaching sin and redemption did not stop Paul from preaching where and when the Holy Spirit told him to. Even after getting stoned and left for dead, after being revived by the Holy Spirit, Paul got up and went back in to face actual mobs, (Acts 14:19-20) not just a day's worth of internet criticism.

The issue of this essay is that with that Inauguration brouhaha, it is plain to see that the homosexual lobby has morphed into our state church. And we must all worship or die. Mr Moore wrote that the Inauguration Committee's bowing to the Homosexual lobby indicate a new State Church is being born. It is. It surely is. It may as well be called The Church of Perpetual Perversion. Moore wrote,

"the new state church requires a “license” of embracing sexual liberation in all its forms."

This new day of bowing to the small minority's insistence that homosexual behavior and other sexual sin in all its forms must be worshiped, embraced and exalted was akin to the immorality in Seneca's time.

Seneca the Roman philosopher and statesman lived from 4BC to 65AD, overlapping in adulthood with Jesus's time and when the Church was born. He was adviser to Caligula and Nero. The depths of licentiousness and homosexuality had reached alarming levels, alarming even a veteran Roman. Seneca wrote,

"All is full of criminality and vice; indeed much more of these is committed than can be remedied by force. A monstrous contest of abandoned wickedness is carried on. The lust of sin increases daily; and shame is daily more and more extinguished. Discarding respect for all that is good and sacred, lust rushes on wherever it will. Vice no longer hides itself. It stalks forth before all eyes. So public has abandoned wickedness become, and so openly does it flame up in the minds of all, that innocence is no longer seldom, but has wholly ceased to exist."

It seems that the abandonment of moral behavior listed by Seneca are the same ones today. The Holy Spirit warned us that this day would come. Every society since Paul penned the famous words in Romans has been at risk for this deadly trajectory. We are in it now, at the end of it really, barely hanging on to the period punctuating the final word in the verses which spell our doom. Here they are:

"Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them." (Romans 1:32)

Paul had just finished outlining what happens to a society that allows sexual sin to run rampant. Here is the progression from Romans 1:18-31,

1. They knew God but denied Him, therefore their thinking became futile & their hearts were darkened. No outward behavior yet.
2. They claimed to be wise, going against God's standards. God made them fools.
3. They exchanged things of God for things of nature and worshiped the creation. Still inward, secret sins.
4. So God gave them over to their sexual desires in impurity. Those would be fornication and adultery. Now the behavior is following the heart's evil desires.
5. Their passions became dishonorable- women with women and men with men. So, it gets worse.
6. They still won't acknowledge God, so He gave them a debased mind. What it is saying here is that the act of homosexuality should be so shocking to the person, that it should jolt them senseless and they should be repenting about now. Acting on unholy desires should have been an indicator to them as to the deepening of their perversions. But still, they persist in it.
7. And then they are filled with all manner of other unrighteousness, which the verse goes on to list. The list is long. (Romans 1:29-31).
8. Finally, they not only approve of their actions but encourage others to do it also.

Augustus Tholuck's "Nature and Moral Influence of Heathenism" studied the influence of heathenism upon the lives of heathens, particularly Rome and Greece. He wrote that in breaking loose from the Holy God of Christians, not in their wildest intoxications would they imagine the excesses that sexual sin would go. The most unbridled, indiscriminate, and disgusting licentiousness rose up, and were not only openly practiced but specifically encouraged. (As Romans 1:32 said they would). Further, these practices were facilitated by the customs and institutions of heathenism, such as government. Tholuck wrote that this almost inevitably led to the grossest of superstitions on the part of the people. In Rome, as sexual sin and perversions increased, the number of deities increased dramatically. It also led to unbelief, disgust and contempt for Christianity on the part of the educated. Worst, the more that licentiousness and perversion arose, the more men yielded themselves up. The more they sin, the more they want, and the more they want, the more that men yield themselves. This speaks to me of a trajectory that has a tipping point. At some point the snowball can't be stopped from rolling faster and faster down the hill and the bundle of sexual perversions endemic in society becomes an avalanche. Seneca wrote, 'much more of these is committed than can be remedied by force...' evoking to my mind a tidal wave of immorality that sweeps away all in its path. We're there now.

In seeing how far homosexuality, incest, pederasty and other such sins would go, Tholuck recorded that the Emperors of Rome, who themselves considered themselves deity, practiced such licentiousness as the world had hardly seen:

Caligula- established a brothel in the palace and caused a toll to be paid to himself,
Nero: drove through Roman streets with his naked mistress,
Messalina (Claudius's wife) commended herself to all men for pay, and entered into a contest with the highest paid prostitute in the city (and won),
Commodus- lay with his sister and killed her.

As Adams and Tholuck wrote, heathenism's sway allowed the vices and sufferings of humankind to continually increase. "Heathenism profanes the image of God in man." (A. Tholuck). After its tipping point, the only way to stop it is Jesus. This was evidenced in the flood in Genesis, with the warning that man's inclinations had become evil all the time. (Genesis 6:5). It was evidenced in the excesses of Rome occurred during a period just before and during and just after Jesus's coming, when He spent a great deal of His ministry casting out demons. And we have the warning that in the future (now?) that the coming of the Son of Man will be when the days once again become like the Days of Noah (Matthew 24:37-39).

"For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, 39and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man."

But here's the thing-- The people of Genesis 6 were sinning so badly, yet were so unaware of impending wrath in the Flood, that they were all surprised when it occurred. It will be like that again, when Jesus comes again.

The days are like the ancient Roman days, it seems to me. Public prostitution, licentiousness galore (The homosexual festivals at various cities around the nation are worse than Nero just driving around with his naked mistress...), homosexuality taught in schools and accepted and promoted by the Emperor President. The 2% of the population of homosexuals has successfully wrested the discussion of morality in the public square from the 98% of the rest of us and instilled its talking points from the highest levels (White House) down to the smallest children in school.

I wrote up above that "Only subsequent events revealed that this issue is still reverberating in the hellish halls of demonic doings." I believe this is why those in the discernment ministry felt so deeply that passion 2013 was something deeper, with more going on than the eye or ear could detect. In hindsight we now can connect some dots. The progression went like so: From the Democrat platform affirming deep immorality, to the election win of Obama, to the passage of gay marriage laws in many states, Passion 2013's focus on slavery, which caught the President's attention and caused him to issue an invitation to give the benediction at the inauguration, to the LGBT Two Minutes Hate, to the backing down of the pastor in the face of gay fury, finally revealing the new state church of homosexuality.

I wrote last October that Dr. John MacArthur was shocked at what he saw at the Democratic convention. He said in his sermon "Homosexuality and the Campaign for Immorality", "the very things that God hates and that bring down God’s judgment were affirmed as part of the Democratic Party platform. Open sex with government-provided contraception, murder of babies in wombs, God left out of the platform, and homosexual behavior even, advocating homosexual marriage--an oxymoron, since that’s impossible. ... I don’t know how much time America has left, I really don’t. But we’re on a course described here as God casting us out. The land has become defiled."

This is more true today than in October, by a mile. Things are happening so fast now.

Preachers and other Christians strive to be measured when preaching homosexuality as a sin. They try to qualify it by repeating that homosexuality is 'one of many sins', 'we all sin', 'we all have something to repent of'. While all that is surely true, and the bible makes it clear that all sins will keep an unrepentant person from heaven, and that homosexuality itself isn't a greater sin than any other, I do believe homosexuality is a special case.

Rev. Matt Slick wrote,

"Unlike other sins, this sexual sin has a judgment administered by God Himself: He gives them over to their passions (Romans 1:26-28). This means that their hearts are allowed to be hardened by their sins. As a result, they can no longer see the error of what they are doing. Without an awareness of their sinfulness, there will be no repentance. Without repentance, there will be no forgiveness. Without forgiveness, there is no salvation."

The Romans passage shows us that after they are filled with perverse lusts, then all manner of other unrighteousness comes in. (Not that people who are not homosexual aren't sinners). But Paul spent almost an entire chapter outlining what happens when a society caves into perverse lust. That, plus the example of Sodom's destruction (Genesis 19), plus the subsequent mentions of Sodom as being judged specifically as a reminder (Jude 1:7; Deuteronomy 29:23; Jeremiah 50:40 ), do indicate that when a society passes a tipping point with regard to perverse lusts, it is a symptom that is greater and has more impact than when other sins reach epidemic proportions. Remember Seneca's shock at his own countrymen's behavior.

If anything else, the 'Giglio imbroglio' as Mohler termed it, shows us that the State Church of Homosexuality, Lesbianism, Transgender, and Just Plain Weird (LGBT for short) is now open, and its members will expect you to worship in it at their convenience. Pick up a rainbow pin at the lobby, and don't forget to bow to the Idolater in Chief as you pass his statue. It is a small church, but mighty in voice. Its clamor has caused many a good fellow to cover their ears to the din, thereby also shutting out the Good Voice. Their members will welcome you with open arms- as long as you approve of all that goes on. They are very good at the Two Minutes Hate.

The biggest burden I carry in being a husband and father of 3 school age kids at a time when it seems the world is going mad, is how to prepare my family for what I see happening! How to steel the mind of my kids without stealing their joy? If I'm being honest I ask that same question in child like faith to My Heavenly Father.

Dear Father, it's getting really dark and stormy outside?

 

Living in or near Tornado Alley one of the routines during stormy nights that I feel so blessed by is to see all my kids run to me for assurance that we are going to be alright.."right dad?" 

 

It usually goes down something like this. The day starts out with its normal routines but you go about your business with one eye to the sky because the weather stations from our area have told us that today's weather pattern and conditions are ripe for "stormy conditions." So with that in the back of your mind you go through your day, as day pushes towards the evening, you become more and more aware of the dark clouds forming off to the southwest. One by one, from my wife calling on her cell phone on her drive home for work "is it storming yet?" to each kid taking notice and the questions will pop up.."Is it going to be a bad storm?" "Ya think it'll miss us?" 

 

My job that I take seriously as a dad is to be full of faith, pointing to scripture and remind them of the Shelter we have in God and the storm shelter in our home!

Then it happens, an annoying sound(s) go off, the weatherman interrupts BREAKING WEATHER ALERT "A Tornado Warning has been issued for parts of southern Lawrence County" Your heart races, "Kids, hurry up" "what " The anxiety rises in their minds "Is it going to hit us?" We all hurry along down into our storm shelter ..so thankful we are in a safe place but very unsettled, listening to the wind and cracking thunder, you sit in an uncomfortable position, enduring this dark and stormy moment in time ..Our kids clinging to us parents with their eyes glued to our countenance looking for and hoping for the calm and assurance that everything is going to be just fine.

Then finally the storm passes......

 

On New Year’s Eve I sat down my 3 kids along with my wife using this very scenario as I shared a devotion of preparation for 2013.

I asked all 3 kids "what do you think when you see super duper dark clouds to the southwest? And hear the wind begin to howl? And see the lightning? And hear the thunder? "Is it going to tornado? Do we need to go to the shelter?" And on on those night kids if you turn on the TV and flip channels what do you see n hear? Weathermen on EVERY channel describing and warning!! Well kids as your Father/Shepherd I'm telling you that according to the bible 2013 is a year to "take shelter" and as a family we need to be closer to our Heavenly Father than ever cause He has written us a letter warning us that when we see the nations unite to divide Israel to not be scared but prepared!!

 

GREAT TRAVAIL

I have a friend and He studied Meteorology/Storm Chasing at the University of Oklahoma. I remember one particular day we were hanging out and that particular day was ripe for a "Big one" and he was so alert, we were sitting "watch"then, suddenly ... while we were talking his countenance changed and He got all serious and said ..."LOOK, LOOK" and I was like "WHAT??" ..."what do you see, that I don't?" I mean it did look stormy ...but he saw something in the clouds that he recognized that caused his demeanor and voice to grow much more urgent...."He saw the Wall Cloud and it's circulation..and then it happened....a Tornado dropped from the sky" He picked up a phone and reported it to a local weather station and then called friends in the path... URGENTLY.

 

Why am I so confident that 2013 is going to be a year of “Greater” Travail? Just as when it’s a stormy night and you turn on the TV and ALL of your local weatherman on duty are warning of the storm at hand so is it that many Watchman are even now doing that very thing! WHY? Not because of some feeling, but because of God’s Word. Joel 3 speaks of a time that God will cause the nations of the world to come under His Judgment because they have divided HIS LAND. We see those very clouds forming now as talk of a plan to divide Israel is even in the works. It makes you want to scream “DO NOT DO THAT!” But God’s word says it is going to happen, so we must warn those who will hear to be prepared for what is coming in response!

 

On May 19, of 2011 President Obama addressed the issue and declared his desire to see Israel concede land back to “1967 borders” In light of the recent UN resolution to recognize Palestine’s right to state hood the big push will be for them to have their “own land” and of course if you pay attention it will be nothing less than Israel and specifically Jerusalem that they will demand. Post US Elections, President Obama is emboldened to see this issue resolved and undoubtedly will begin to make this his center of attention. Its obvious from Joel 3 that God does NOT take this lightly. Whether during this age or dispensation God sends or God allows Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Tsunami’s or disasters of the like. I will not debate, but this I will warn; Be prepared to witness greater travail in this coming year than what you have seen in the past because of mans evil plan to divide God’s land!

 

I’m telling you “it sure looks stormy”

Darkness and even gross darkness is covering this earth at such an alarming rate.

People are on edge everywhere and the recent increase in sales of weapons and ammunitions speaks to man’s innate desire to seek to save their own life! And yet there are those who are hell bent on taking those weapons and using them to steal, kill and destroy. Even to the point of killing elementary kids like sitting ducks.

It is hear that I’d like to take a moment and speak to this very thing!

Hebrews 11:⁷ By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

 

BEING DIVINELY WARNED

Sometimes we do NOT want to really “stop n think” but that is exactly what I’m about to ask every one who is reading this message. I want us to take a moment and stop and think of “what if” What if the weathermen on duty just prior to the Joplin Tornado of 2011 could have known of the devastation they were warning about? I mean if those weathermen could have known that when they were looking at their maps and computer models, if they knew BEFORE that hundreds of souls would be lost and could have known how truly big the storm was that they were warning of ...what impact would that have made on their urgency in their warning? Knowing they were looking at something on a map that would be one of the deadliest tornados on record, IF they would have known as one Doctor reported of hearing someone sucked out of the Joplin hospital “wailing and screaming” for “HELP” of what impact would that or should that of had upon the weathermen? 

 

I remember watching one of the most renowned Storm Chasers working that storm arriving upon the scene after the fact and breaking down in tears wishing he could have warned the people!! It showed him arriving into the Joplin area about the same time as the tornado and screaming at police officers to SOUND THE SIRENS..PLEASE SOUND THE SIRENS!!! But it was too late.......

 

By Faith, we can all open up The Word of God and read, being divinely warned that there is coming an hour that is going to be so devastating to the lives around us that will render the Joplin tornado a distant memory, that will be so violent that Newtown Connecticut will seem like an act of mercy to those who are still here. In fact the Bible says it will be so evil and wicked that “unless God shortens the days no flesh will survive” 

 

Psalms 9 says that “the nations that forget God shall be turned into Hell” Jesus said the reason it is so dark outside is that “they love the darkness but hate the light because their deeds are evil” Because of this very thing there is a major cry to tell GOD to “get out” or in other turns please “turn off the light” and that is exactly what is about to happen, God is going to call out of this earth all those who are His and let man reap what they have sown in a time of such Great Travail that as shocking as this may sound it will even make the Holocaust pale in comparison.

 

And You and I have been divinely warned of this very thing! We are the weathermen before the storm who should realize what will be happening and being “moved with godly fear” prepare an ark for the saving of the household! Please stop and think of the for warned time at hand that says there is coming a real moment when “people will seek death and find it not” people we know!!!!! Our lost friends and neighbors and co-workers will be wishing they had heard, wishing they had listened and will be dealing with a time of such wrath and despair that they will be suicidal but can’t die!

 

We don’t believe this! Not really. The Bible says it but we don’t believe it or prayer meetings of groans and wails would be popping up everywhere, pleading with God for boldness, asking God for forgiveness, asking God for Mercy!! We would be so broken in our gatherings that Preachers shouldn’t even be able to stand up and minister. 

 

I say “shame on us” SHAME ON ME! I pray even now ..in this time that God in His Mercy tarries, that He will pour out His Spirit upon Us and BREAK US for the time at hand. That we WILL be divinely warned and sincerely be moved with compassion and Godly fear and fall our faces in greater prayer and travail than the Church has ever seen and it will produce the greatest urgency and boldness to share the Gospel unlike the world has ever seen ....because “Man it sure is looking Stormy”

 

Heavenly Father, please please please pour out a Spirit of Prayer, Repentance and Intercession upon all who are alive and remain.

 

Romans 13:11 This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.

 

If you have read this message and you are asking “what must I do to be saved from the time I’m warning about?” Realize that you are alive because you were created. That Your Creator gave You life and His Laws to Live by, but You have broken His laws and right now stand before Your Creator GUILTY as a “law breaker” and deserve to die, and dying you are...with each beat of your heart you are dying but God in His Goodness and Mercy didn’t make You to do so.

 

He wants You to live eternally and because of this very fact, just over 2,000 years ago He sent His Only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to “take your place” and because of You and For You, He willingly allowed mankind to Crucify Him on a Cross for Your Sins and My Sins and then promised to prove that He is God would rise from the grave and 3 days later He did that very thing and today an empty tomb shout to the whole world He is alive! in Order for You to be Saved from the Wrath to Come.  

 

Romans 10: ⁹ that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. ¹⁰ For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. ¹³ For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Boeing has successfully tested an EMP missile that could be doomsday for Iran; media have largely ignored the development.

Boeing has successful tested an electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) missile that turns “science fiction into science fact” and could be the doomsday weapon against Iran, but media have largely ignored the development.

The U.S. Air Force and Boeing demonstrated the device more than two months ago over a military site in the Utah desert, reported the VR-Zone technology website.
Boeing did not keep the test a secret, but most mainstream media and technology sites overlooked the report.

The test was codenamed CHAMP — Counter-Electronics High Power Advanced Missile Project and was the first time a real EMP missile has been tested with positive real world results.
One of the most startling developments in the research and test is that the missile system does not use any explosives, thereby limiting damage to its intended goal of directing microwave energy that can cause instant blackouts.

Keith Coleman, who serves as Boeing’s CHAMP program manager in their Phantom Works division, stated that video camera showed “images of numerous desktop computers running, and then suddenly all of them go out quickly followed by the camera going to black,” VR-Zone reported.
“We hit every target we wanted to…  Today we made science fiction, science fact,” said Coleman.
An Arutz Sheva opinion article in August mentioned Israel’s possible use of an EMP bomb against Iran. The report triggered a chain reaction, allegedly influencing U.S. intelligence sources who have since been quoted in several publications with doubtful assumptions that the article reflected Israel government thinking.

The London Times subsequently reported that an EMP bomb could cripple Iran by shutting down its electronics and sending the Islamic Republic “back to the Stone Age.”
EMP causes non-lethal gamma energy to react with the magnetic field and produces a powerful electromagnetic shock wave that can destroy electronic devices, especially those used in Iran’s nuclear plants.

The shock wave would knock out Iran’s power grid and communications systems for transport and financial services, leading to economic collapse.

So we've had a birth pang of biblical proportions! And it was a U.S. election. Did it get our attention? Yes! Maybe it needed to. We're all so busy that we don't pay careful attention to how late it is.

We're in the fast lane to the end of the age now. We have a Buddhist, a Muslim, and a Hindu in Congress so we're one nation under many gods. We're heading even more into rampant acceptance of same-sex marriage, abortion, and legalized recreational marijuana. Evil is called good and good is called evil. Do you have any doubt that we are officially in the "days of Noah?" Let me offer these observations, if they're even needed. 

There was a shot heard around the world, metaphorically speaking, in June 2009. When Barack Obama addressed the Muslim world from Cairo, Egypt, it was obvious that it was a new day and a black day. As Obama apologized to the Arab world from Cairo, his special guests in the audience were the Muslim Brotherhood. His uninvited guest was Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak. You can bet when the "Arab Spring" took off in January 2011, the radicals reflected on Obama's apologies.

   

I believe the predicted biblical perilous times were accentuated on June 4, 2009, in Cairo. After that, a steady stream of Muslim Brotherhood operatives made their way to the highest places in our land. They were frequent and regular guests of the White House and State Department. All other administrations but this one rightfully labeled the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist outfit. But our current Intelligence chief, James Clapper, suggested that the Muslim Brotherhood was closer to the Lutheran Brotherhood than a bunch of terrorists. The Islamics are just do-gooders, he suggested. The lying never ceases. 

As terror expert Steve Emerson reports, legions of radical Islamists made regular visits to people in high places. It was not to share a cup of tea. It was to talk about darkness: How America could be harmed. As has been revealed, a key player in this scheme is Hillary Clinton's aid, Huma Abedin,  whose family are Muslim Brotherhood operatives. It makes no sense other than that love of country has been replaced by unseen hands who don't have America's best in mind. It will take a Woodward and Bernstein to sort through it all. 

  

The hidden little secret to the Benghazi debacle is that our nation's highest leaders were orchestrating a gun-running operation from terrorists in Libya to terrorists in Syria. So America doesn't just acknowledge the "Arab Spring," we actually helped coordinate it. We chose sides and we picked the real bad guys over the bad guys. The bigger question is why are we involved at all? Remember Israel and Egypt's peace treaty that has held for 30 years? Why stick our nose in and wreck it? 

The dead ambassador was a part of it. Imagine that. Our efforts there weren't benign and humanitarian.  And this isn't speculation. Thanks goes, in part, to the team at Fox News who were sleuths-in-chief with no training other than that of crack journalists. 

Could we have imagined a scenario like this ten years ago? Could we have fathomed it on September 12, 2001? In our wildest imagination we could not have! Islamic infiltration? Come on. Maybe Communists or Socialists, but not Islamists! Never would we have dreamed that Islam would have been an end-of-days nemesis to America.

For all of this to play out there needed to be a Muslim-friendly U.S. administration. Who would have ever dreamed that we would have a U.S. president with a Muslim heritage? A president who actually favored the Arab world? Who had deep-seated hostility toward Israel! This almost required a set-up made in hell. But, it's the end-times, so why not?

So now we are smack dab in the middle of the most perilous times in recent memory and much of America just voted to re-elect someone who will make all these issues really hit the fan! Talk about events in overdrive.

The most-asked question as it concerns Bible prophecy is, where does America fit? Now our decline makes more sense since a ton of people were just re-elected who are fine with our decline.  They have mastered the arts of recklessness and lawlessness. They are proud of their darkness. Their arrogance is stifling. Righteous people literally cannot watch it. When they parade before us, we turn the television off.

The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president.

Joel Rosenberg says it well when he states, "This is what happens when the Church is weak and fails to disciple believers to turn biblical faith into action. Given the enormous number of evangelical Christians in the U.S., this bloc could still affect enormous positive change for their issues if they were to unify and vote for the pro-life, pro-marriage candidate as a bloc."

 

He concludes, "What will it take to educate, register and mobilize Christians to vote on the basis of biblical principles, and what kind of candidates could best mobilize them? This is a critical question that Christian political leaders as well as pastors must seriously consider. As we have seen, just a few million more evangelicals voting for pro-life, pro-marriage candidates could offset other demographics that are becoming more liberal."

  

Hal Lindsey says, "The past four years have seen a marked increase in the erosion of many of our basic rights, values, and traditions. This administration has expressed almost unprecedented hostility toward Israel, traditional marriage, gun owners, small business owners and entrepreneurs, corporations, the energy industry, pro-lifers, and Christian institutions. And now that the President doesn't have to worry about facing another election, who knows how that hostility will be expressed." Lindsey feels we are on the fast-track to disaster.

Joseph Farah sums it up. He says, "That's what Obama represents to me -- God's judgment on a people who have turned away from Him and His ways and from everything for which our founders sacrificed their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. This election could very well represent the beginning of the end of the American dream, American exceptionalism, the American way."

Dr. Albert Mohler called the election a "catastrophe for crucial moral concerns."

Pastor Robert Jeffress of the First Baptist Church, Dallas, spared no punches. He said that, "The course he (Obama) is choosing to lead our nation is paving the way for the future reign of the Antichrist."  

   

Pat Boone says, "We have rejected the very same God and His way, and clamored after a king who has promised to provide, protect and lead them into a Promised Land where 'everybody has everything.' So that same God must take His hand off those who have rejected Him and allow them to reap the consequences. It's not going to be fun."

The Bible says globalism lies ahead and a cashless society. This election will speed that up. We are reminded that not only is this world NOT our home, we don't want it to be our home! This is the home of the Antichrist and he is waiting in the wings. Our real Home is the one where Jesus Christ reigns. We have a mansion there. It will be glorious. The reunions will be out of this world!  

The Bible says, "In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.  If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also." John 14:2, 3

God has asked us to be His ambassadors in this depraved world. He asks us to stand for truth; to be light in the dark; to be salt in a world that is decaying. He asks us to distribute hope. Even if we get our heads chopped off like John the Baptist!  

   

The world is getting darker but God's call to His people is to ''Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.''  

May the church, the body and the bride of Christ, rise up and be that light that reflects the glory of God for all to see. Please go share your faith with five people this week. Time is running out. 

Don't look around because what you will see will be shocking. Look up and expect Him. That will soften the blow called reality now.   

A final thought: Some of you will disagree and not understand the passion and discouragement many of us have. You have an equal passion for government to rule. Somehow as believers we have to get along. In eternity we'll be of one accord. King Jesus will rule in Jerusalem for a season called the Millennium and we'll be one political party. Until then, human government is designed to fail. But we do our best. Let's try to love one another in spite of deep division.
