Defence attache called to Moscow to clarify ‘inaccurate’ newspaper reports concerning RAF rules of engagement in Iraq


Russia’s defence ministry has summoned the British defence attache over reports in Sunday newspapers claiming that RAF pilots were given licence to shoot down Russian jets in Iraq if threatened.

The reports in the Daily Star on Sunday and the Sunday Times were described by the UK Foreign Office as inaccurate. The report said RAF Tornado fighters launching airstrikes on Islamic State targets in Iraq were using missiles designed for aerial combat.

The British embassy in Moscow confirmed that the defence attache had been asked to clarify the UK’s position and had visited the Russian ministry of defence in Moscow on Sunday.

According to a British government source, Russia accepted the explanation.
A Foreign Office spokesperson in London said the defence attache had expressed concern over Russia’s Syria policy during the meeting: “The Russian government sought clarification over inaccurate newspaper reports concerning RAF rules of engagement in Iraq. The defence attache reiterated the British government’s concerns about Russia’s military operation in Syria, including targeting legitimate opposition groups, using unguided weaponry and leading to large numbers of civilian deaths.”

(NationalSecurity.news) In a little-noticed story posted at the International Business Times last week, the British government substantially raised the stakes in the Syrian civil war: Without much fanfare, London gave its air force pilots the authority to shoot down any Russian warplanes that threaten them.
The Times, in its online edition, noted that, as relations between the West and Russia continue to sour amid competing interests in war-torn Syria, RAF (Royal Air Force) pilots were given approval to engage any Russian jets that they perceive as an immediate threat as they fly missions in support of rebels battling President Bashar al-Assad’s regime. Russia, meanwhile, is supporting Assad.

The Times notes that the approval to engage Russian warplanes puts the UK and Russia “one step closer” to being at war.

As the Times further reported:
RAF Tornado pilots have been instructed to avoid contact with Russian aircraft while engaged in missions for Operation Shader – the codename for the RAF’s anti-ISIS work in Iraq and Syria. But their aircraft have been armed with air-to-air missiles and the pilots have been given the green light to defend themselves if they are threatened by Russian pilots.
“The first thing a British pilot will do is to try to avoid a situation where an air-to-air attack is likely to occur — you avoid an area if there is Russian activity,” an unidentified source from the UK’s Permanent Joint Headquarters (PJHQ) told The Sunday Times. “But if a pilot is fired on or believes he is about to be fired on, he can defend himself. We now have a situation where a single pilot, irrespective of nationality, can have a strategic impact on future events.”
Britain has deployed Tornado fighter-bombers in Syria as part of a U.S.-led air coalition flying in support of anti-Assad forces. They are armed with Advanced Short Range Air-to-Air (AIM-132) Missiles, which are capable of reaching speeds three times that of sound and have a longer range than other air-to-air missiles in its class. This military technology would allow RAF pilots to engage Russian planes without being in range of the enemy’s missiles.
The Sunday Times‘ report quoted a defense source as saying, “Up till now RAF Tornados have been equipped with 500lb satellite-guided bombs — there has been no or little air-to-air threat. But in the last week the situation has changed. We need to respond accordingly.”
“We need to protect our pilots but at the same time we’re taking a step closer to war,” said another source. “It will only take one plane to be shot down in an air-to-air battle and the whole landscape will change.”

‘NYC far & expensive’: Russian MP says UN headquarters must be moved from America

A lawmaker from ruling party United Russia says the United Nations Organization should move its headquarters from the United States to a place equidistant from all capitals of UN member-countries. 

 

“The reforms are necessary and they should reflect the growing importance of the new centers of power – our partners from the BRICS bloc. This especially applies to India which is now world’s third-largest economy and which will become the country with the world’s largest population in the next seven or eight years,” MP Vyacheslav Nikonov said at the State Duma session on Wednesday.

The lawmaker added that other centers of power were Brazil and South African Republic – the largest economies in South America and Africa.

Nikonov also insisted that the headquarters of the United Nations should not remain in the United States as “over the past 20 years this country has applied illegal sanctions to more than half of all humanity.” Another example of the US behavior that required urgent action was the recent decision to restrict the rights of Russian parliamentary speakers who needed to visit the New York City to take part in the inter-parliamentary events at the UN, he noted.

“Why should it be in New York City? It’s far away and it’s expensive. Why don’t we choose the following criteria instead – determine a point on Planet Earth that would be equidistant from the capitals of all 183 member-countries of the UN,” RIA Novosti quoted the lawmaker as saying.

This is not the first time that a Russian politician proposes to move the United Nations offices from NYC. In August, State Duma MP Igor Zotov (Fair Russia) addressed the UN Secretary-General with a letter in which he stated that the UN headquarters must be located in a neutral country and accused the USA of using its position to apply leverage against its political opponents.

Zotov noted that the current placement of the UN offices allows the United States to manipulate the work of the General Assembly through “selective” access of other nations’ politicians to the working meetings of the body. He also suggested that the decision to move the UN headquarters is made through a broad consensus of representatives of all UN member-countries, various activists and politicians, and legal and political experts.

This initiative appeared soon after the scandal in which US authorities issued a delayed and restricted visa to the chair of the Russian upper house, Valentina Matviyenko, who planned to attend an inter-parliamentary conference at UN headquarters and meet UN Secretary-General in New York City. As a result, the entire Russian delegation had to cancel its participation in the event and the meeting between Matviyenko and Ban had to be postponed.

Faith Healer Rod Parsley Turns To Modern Medicine To Battle Cancer

If Mr. Parsley really believed he had the apostolic gift of healing, why wouldn’t he go on his own television show and, before a global audience, receive the miraculous healing power from God he claims to have?

Faith healer and prosperity preacher Rod Parsley has for many years made his living by dramatically laying hands on people, “slaying them” in the spirit and pronouncing them to be “healed” as they fall backwards in comical obedience to his commands. Now, faith healer Parsley has been diagnosed with throat cancer, and he doing a strange thing. Instead of having someone in his church with the “anointing” to lay hands on him, or go to another high-profile “healer” like Benny Hinn, Rod Parsley is taking radiation treatments at his local hospital.

Look at this ridiculous video from one of his “healing services”, where people fall down like Keystone Cops. What’s not funny about this video is how false teachers with false doctrine deceive people, promise things they can in no way deliver, and end ruining people’s lives. Why isn’t Rod up there “getting healed”? Hmm…excellent question.

Parsley says this about his treatment: “Whatever medication I take, I stand against any side effects. I say, “This medication will do exactly what God and my doctors purpose it to do, and will harm me in no way.” The Bible says, Mark 16—and I’ve stood on this, “If they drink any deadly thing, it shall not harm them,” meaning whatever comes in to my body to help bring healing will not harm me, for I’m a child of God.”

Now we here at NTEB certainly do wish a speedy and full recovery for Mr. Parsley in his cancer battle, make no mistake about that. But we also wish to point out the true powerlessness of self-proclaimed faith healers, and the damage their false doctrine does to the body of Christ. We do not live in the days of the apostles, and as such, the apostolic gifts of healing do not exist in our present Church Age. This is what the Bible teaches us. Rod Parsley is one of the highest-profile faith healers on television today, and yet he is completely unable to obtain the “miracle healing” he has purported to be able to freely dispense to others since he began in the ministry in 1977.

If Mr. Parsley really believed he had the apostolic gift of healing, why wouldn’t he go on his own television show and, before a global audience, receive the miraculous healing power from God he claims to have? Why doesn’t he invite TD Jakes, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn or any of the others to perform a healing on him while the cameras are rolling? He won’t do that because it would be the end of his ministry, and the end of the ministries of any of his faith healing buddies when they publically failed to heal him.

So the next time you are tempted to go to a “healing crusade” and have a millionaire televangelist lay hands on you and heal you, just remember what they do when they get sick. They go to the doctors and the hospitals just like everyone else does. Does God still heal? Absolutely He does. Just not through a phony healing crusade by a powerless faith healer.

Get well, Mr. Parsley, and when you do, go back to your church and start preaching the actual gospel. It’s time to get out of the “healing business”.

Besides a session on us—the backlash movement, they have a session on how to shape the media narrative for the 2016 Presidential Election season entitled: ‘Words Matter: Speaking Out Through Media’.

One of the leaders of the pow-wow, and working to shape the media, is Suzette Brooks Masters of the JM Kaplan Fund. How do we shape the narrative on immigration moving into the 2016 Presidential elections? 

In addition, looking beyond English language media, this panel considered the landscape of ethnic media, and how to identify emerging audiences and media markets that the immigrant rights movement should be looking at, reaching out to and engaging immigrant communities.

This session will also speak towards the creative ways in which media organizations have partnered with advocacy groups in order to tell immigrant stories through reporting, entertainment, and more.

The Province of Ontario with twice the debt of California making it now the world’s most indebted sub-sovereign borrower, saddled Canada with its first lib-left government in more than a decade in elections tonight.
Prime Minister Elect Justin Trudeau’s friendship with the high spending Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynn is a matter of public record.  Ontario has a whopping $307 billion in bond debt; spends less per person on delivering service than any other province in Canada, yet still has a higher annual operating deficit.

None of this has bothered Canada’s new Liberal prime minister.
Tonight was the Land of the Maple Leaf’s 2008,  and the champagne corks must be popping at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) who have been promised more financial support from a Liberal Government than the $1 billion a year subsidy from taxpayers they were getting under the Stephen Harper Conservatives.
With Trudeau as prime minister the only jobs available will be for CBC reporters rather than main-street Canadians.

The cult of celebrity always finds its victims among the average.
A gloating CBC credited the Obama Ground Team sent to Canada last year to ensure election victory for the Liberals in tonight’s outcome.  Members of Obama’s election team—who   revolutionized data mining for political campaigns—shared it with Trudeau, and the rest is now history. 

Many main-street Canadians are in shock with tonight’s surprising election results.  Virtually no polls, other than a CBC one,  indicated a Liberal sweep was coming.  But tonight’s results show the Liberals with 40.5% of the popular vote and the Conservatives with 32.1% at the time of this writing.

The Thomas Mulcair-led NDP, only weeks ago poll promoted as election night winners,  went down in disgrace to a mere 18.7%.

All this happened while Canada had the strongest and soundest banking system in the world,  and of the world’s top industrialized nations, fared best in the 2007-2008 economic downturn thanks to the leadership of Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
Polls during the entire 11-week campaign portrayed a neck-and-neck, too-close-to-call nail-biter of an election that never happened.

When the chips were down, the Liberals came into power on a red wave.
What happened was similar to the 2012 Barack Obama victory over Republican Mitt Romney,  with a poll-portrayed nail-biter election that turned into an 11th hour landslide for Obama.

Dubbed as “the national governing party” for their political longevity, the Liberals governed Canada for all of 69 years during the 20th century. 
When word first leaked out that key Obama campaign workers had joined the Trudeau election campaign, the mainstream media continued to look the other way.
Stephen Harper’s goal of displacing the Liberals as Canada’s natural governing party came to a crushing end tonight, while the country he led for nearly a decade became a satellite of American President Barack Obama.

While Americans got a community organizer who began to systematically dismantle America in 2008, Canada will now be led by a part-time drama teacher who has never worked a day in his life.

What It Looks Like When Muslims Begin To Take Over Their Host Nation

This is what it looks like when Muslims take over a host nations city, and it will soon happen here in America

“And when We wish to destroy a town, We send Our commandment to the people of it who lead easy lives, but they transgress therein; thus the word proves true against it, so We destroy it with utter destruction.” Qu’ran 17:16

My dad’s people arrived as immigrants here in 1723 from Holland, my mom’s dad arrived here on Ellis Island from Scotland in 1923. In both cases, they blended into American life and did their level best to be law-abiding citizens, pay their taxes, and raise their children. While maintaining their pride in their birth countries, they assimilated into their newly-adopted homeland and eventually became Americans. That’s what nearly all immigrants from other lands do when they arrive here, with the exception of a lone, single group who do not assimilate into their host country. And who might that be? The Muslims.

 
When Muslims arrive in a new land, in America and elsewhere, they are small in number and they keep to themselves. But as their numbers grow, they begin to make demands in their towns and cities that local customs change to accommodate their Islamic beliefs. They will protest and demand that restaurants stop serving bacon, they will run “street patrols” like they do in England harassing and attacking local women not wearing the Muslim hajib. At first, they are merely an annoyance, until their numbers grow, then they become a threatening mob capable of great destruction. The people of Luton in England have had their entire town taken from them by Muslim immigrants.

When Muslims begin to arrive in large numbers, they are there to seize control of that area

Why do Muslims do this? Because their Qu’ran tells them to, in whatever host country they find themselves, to “claim that land” for their god Allah. Read for yourself quotes from various Muslim leaders as to why they want to take over their host nations, it will be most enlightening:

• “In late 2009, in fulfillment of a religious obligation, I decided to participate in jihad against the United States. The Koran obliges every able Muslim to participate in jihad and fight in the way of Allah, those who fight you, and kill them wherever you find them.”  – Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the “Underwear Bomber”, proudly telling a court why he attempted to detonate a plane full of innocents over Detroit.
• “We need men who are willing to go all the way and not hold back anything from Allah.  The religion of Allah cannot be given victory by part-time service. This is not a weekend religion. The contract is to sell our souls to Allah. The compensation is paradise.” – American-born Islamic cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who has inspired multiple bombing and shooting plots in the U.S. and Europe from his base in Yemen.

When Muslims grow in numbers in any nation outside their own, they demand that their host country become Muslim and adopt the Satanic Sharia Law. England today is a nation on the verge of a complete collapse from Muslim immigration. Think it can’t happen here? It already is.

• “We are fighting for no other reason than to extract people from the kufr and to usher them into the fold of Islam.” – ISIS Commander
• “Our conflict is not an Israeli-Arab conflict. Our struggle is not for a Palestinian state. We are seeking the world. We are seeking the whole world. We are seeking a confrontation against all Crusaders, against all Christians, against all infidels until they adopt the Islamic religion, until they follow the Sharia of Allah. We are not interested in Palestine. We are not interested in Tel Aviv or in Ashkelon. What is important for us is to see Islam ruling the world. This is the religion of God and we are fighting to see Islam rule the world.” – Abu Al-Ayna al-Ansari, a leader of a Salafi group in the Gaza Strip that is allied with Islamic State ideology

America has Muslim “No-Go Zones” where even the police won’t enter

Author Steve Tarani said during a presentation in Nashville that he has witnessed the alleged “no-go zones” — areas where police cannot enter — while shadowing a friend who serves on the Detroit Metro SWAT Police on a drive in Dearborn, MI. He described pulling up to one of the alleged Muslim-controlled areas:

The street signs suddenly went from English to Arabic. There wasn’t a single English word on any shop or any street sign. And in fact, these little yellow signs were posted all along the edges. Jeremy said to me, ‘this is it. We don’t go past this line.’ And I said to Jeremy, ‘what do you mean? You guys are Detroit Metro. You’re the SWAT team. You can go anywhere you want. What if you get a call over there?’ He said ‘this is it, it’s hazardous for our team if we go past this line.’

I have seen it with my own eyes, witnessed it in the backseat of a car and it is for real. No-go zones exist in the United States.
Dearborn, Michigan is not the only place that these settlements exist. They are spread out over the country in various cities. There’s an estimate of over 5,000 known terrorist cells in the United States. However our most persistent and significant threat, right now, to us here today this morning, is the homegrown violent extremists.

In 2013 alone, 117,423 migrants from Muslim-majority countries were permanently resettled within the United States— having been given lawful permanent resident status. Additionally in 2013, the United States voluntarily admitted an extra 122,921 temporary migrants from Muslim countries as foreign students and foreign workers as well as 39,932 refugees and asylees from Muslim countries.

To put these numbers into perspective, this means that every year the U.S. admits a number of Muslim migrants larger in size than the entire population of Des Moines, Iowa; Lincoln, Nebraska; or Dayton, Ohio.


The greatest threat America faces in 2015 is not from “radical” Muslim extremism, but from regular old, everyday, “moderate” Islam. It is happening here right now, in every small town across America. It will be the death of our nation if it is not stopped. England 100 years ago was a Christian nation so peaceful that the police didn’t even need to carry guns.
Not any more.

Jack Kelley, Beloved Bible Teacher, Dies

Jack Kelley, beloved Bible teacher, missionary, and mentor died October 19th of cancer. Jack was a Christian author of several books, including Children’s Stories of the Bible, The Adult Version,  Seven Things You Have To Know To Understand End times Prophecy, and The Redeemer.  His e-book entitled “The Seven Churches Chronicle” is a commentary on Revelation 2-3 and is based on a research trip to Turkey and Greece, where he visited the actual sites of these churches as well as other prominent New Testament locations.

Jack was a successful management consultant who “grew up” in a main line denomination but 25 years ago experienced a radical conversion to Evangelical Christianity. Since then he has devoted most of his time and energy to studying and teaching the Bible, conducting studies throughout the western US and serving as teacher, counselor, and lay pastor. He has led several pilgrimages to Israel and Jordan, and is the author of all the website’s articles.  These articles and his answers to questions on the Bible have been read by millions of pastors, teachers and students  around the world and are regularly used as sermon topics and Sunday School lessons.  Jack and his family currently reside on the Baja Peninsula in Mexico where they serve as volunteer missionaries.

On Thursday, October 15^th, Jack was admitted to the hospital for treatment of severe dehydration.  He was not eating or drinking and had been ill for two weeks.  Several tests and CT scans revealed Jack had untreatable cancer throughout his body.  The diagnosis was sudden and unexpected.  He was admitted to hospice care and died soon after.
Jack has influenced many.  His ministry, Grace Thru Faith, has had a tremendous impact worldwide.  Jack was known for his Biblical knowledge, belief, and simple-to-read studies.  Jack was bold in his faith and lived what he believed.  After an encounter with God, Jack quit his management consultant job, moved to Mexico, and devoted all his time and energy to Bible teaching and local missionary work.  It was his life mission to “store up treasure in Heaven.”

Jack, the world experienced a great loss today.  We will miss your Bible teaching.  I feel as though I’ve lost a personal friend.  Thank you for your service, and may you rest in the arms of the Savior you served so faithfully.
