What the Bible says about light and seed

The True Light "In him, (the Lord Jesus) was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world,…the world didn’t recognize him." John 1:4,9.

The Good Seed and the Weeds “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seeds in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. Matthew 13:24,25.

Words of encouragment and exhortation from the Bible - and Doxology from the Epistle of Jude: Now unto Him

Written and published by Jean Louis Mondon

From the half-tribe of Manasseh:18,000 designated by name to come and make David king. 32From Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do: 200 chiefs with all their kinsmen at their command. 33From Zebulun: 50,000 fit for service, trained for battle with all kinds of weapons of war, who with one purpose were devoted to David.…1 Chronicles 12:32.

1To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: 2a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,…Ecclesiastes 3:1,2

The Day of the Lord 1Now about the times and seasons, brothers, we do not need to write to you. 2For you are fully aware that the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.…1 Thessalonians 5:1.

The Demand for a Sign …2But He, (Jesus) replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘The weather will be fair, for the sky is red,’ 3and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but not the signs of the times. 4A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Then He left them and went away. Matthew 16:3

Two thousand years ago, the Lord Jesus came to accomplish the sign of his birth, death and the cross and the resurrection that we celebrated yesterday, that was the sign of Jonah, Are we waiting for another sign and trying to decipher other signs that are staring in our faces and looking elsewhere and listening to the wrong voices pointing us in the wrong directions? The signs of the end-times can be clearly read and have been seen for a long time now. Let´s us pray for spiritual discernment and as it is written in Malachi 3:16-18:

At that time those who feared the LORD spoke with one another, and the LORD listened and heard them. So a scroll of remembrance was written before Him regarding those who feared the LORD and honored His name. 17“They will be Mine,” says the LORD of Hosts, “on the day when I prepare My treasured possession. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him. 18So you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.”

Then, In Chapter 4: we see the coming of the dreadful day of the Lord:

The Day of the LORD (Zephaniah 1:7–18; 1 Thessalonians 5:1–11; 2 Peter 3:8–13) 1“For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace, when all the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble; the day is coming when I will set them ablaze,” says the LORD of Hosts. “Not a root or branch will be left to them.” 2“But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings,a and you will go out and leap like calves from the stall. 3Then you will trample the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day I am preparing,” says the LORD of Hosts.

Are we sharing the message of salvation by grace, of hope and pardon from the gracious God and rescuing the perishing?

A Call to Persevere (Hebrews 10:19–39; 2 Peter 3:1–7) 17 But you, beloved, remember what was foretold by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ 18when they said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow after their own ungodly desires.”e 19These are the ones who cause divisions, who are worldly and devoid of the Spirit. 20But you, beloved, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21keep yourselves in the love of God as you await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you eternal life. 22And indeed, have mercy on those who doubt; 23save others by snatching them from the fire; and to still others show mercy tempered with fear, hating even the clothing stained by the flesh.

Doxology (Romans 16:25–27) 24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you unblemished in His glorious presence, with great joy— 25to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority through Jesus Christ our Lord before all time, and now, and for all eternity. Amen

The Wounds of my Friend Jesus.

"Better is an open rebuke than hidden love.
Faithful are the wounds of a friend."
Proverbs 27: 5,6.

Oh, Jesus my very best friend
Your love for me has no end
You prove it to me when
You open up a festering wound
With the sharp edge of your sword
Then wash it clean to make me holy,
Without stain, wrinkle or blemish
Cleansing me with the pure water of your word.

When I gaze upon your face
Eternity fills my soul’s empty space,
Earthly sorrow becomes a gain
When grace and truth meet up close
And righteousness and peace kiss each other
I better understand your grand purpose
In the light of the truth of your word.

Slowly, the needle point, holy suture hurts
In your loving hand I trust;
Stitches and knots, compassion’s handiwork
The ugly tear mending
With the painful truth of your word.

The wounds you give me, gratefully I receive
My hopes fulfilled, your promises kept,
I rest in you, I need not fret.
The wings of your wind bring healing;
My fragmented life becomes whole and authentic
When I believe the eternal truth of your word.

Your wounds were left open
But mine gently closed without blame.
You poured on them the balm of Gilead
To cover up sin’s shame
With the healing truth of your word.

I, like Ephraim was deceived
Without any hope of being free.
In your mercy Father, you sent your word
With a command my chains you broke
Opening the door of freedom forever
With the powerful truth of your word.

My head you anoint with your sacred oil
Now sorrow turns into great joy,
Mourning into dancing, darkness into light
The spirit of heaviness alight.
All these hidden treasures are found
With the key given to all your children
Who love and keep the truth of your word.
